Such a shame they've removed these completely, I don't get it.

6 AntwortenSimply because of PvP. No matter what spin people try to put on it PvE players have been given far less choice in Destiny 2. How can anyone argue that having two hand cannons and a rocket launcher is better than having one hand cannon, one sniper and one rocket launcher. So one hand cannon can be elemental, whoop de doo!. We already have elemental weapons in the special slot so how is that more choice. No matter how good the weapons are in Destiny 2 it rankles with me that they are they way they are simply because of PvP. I was both a PvE and PvP player so I have no antipathy towards PvP players, but all of the changes, including supers, in Destiny 2 were created around play in PvP I do not blame PvP players in any way, except for certain You Tubers and Streamers. Bungie are responsible for making all the changes. So RIP Heavy Machine gun you will be sorely missed. But hey we can have two hand cannons to make up for it so............ ummmm great?

6 AntwortenDestiny 2 is looking like a glorified pile of trash

Bearbeitet von T4PS0MBONG: 6/15/2017 4:51:53 AMcould be the fact about having too many power weapon types compared to the kinetic and energy weapons.

5 AntwortenWhen did they say this?

Wow. Another reason not to buy. Seriously, bungie, are you all smoking huge quantities of meth every day before work?
-
They probably removed lmgs because sidearms could outplay them

1 AntwortenAll the stupidity going on with the weapons and slots and this is what you're upset about?
-
Yeah, I was disappointed to hear that. Until The Taken King came out and we got Swords, Heavy Machine Guns were my Heavy Weapon of choice.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von PRINCE_ALI_1985: 6/14/2017 8:02:53 AMIt's obviously because of PvP. *equip an LMG pickup ammo and kill the entire team with ease. I think in D2 they should explore the idea of forbidden weapons in PVP.

2 AntwortenProbably a pvp based decision. A good machine gun, like a barons ambition, can allow you to kill 8-10 guardians before you run out of ammo. It's sad, as they were really underrated and it's always fun to see someone charge at you when they don't see a rocket launcher on your shoulder after heavy pops and then realize their mistake two head shots into their imminent demise.
-
They will probably get added back in at some point in one fashion or another.
-
Machine guns were my favorite weapons......this has ALMOST caused me to cancel my preorder.....I couldn't believe they had been remeoved

I will miss unloading into hordes of enemies with a machine gun. The sound, the damage, the fun!

4 AntwortenRemoved completely ? Don't they have a heavy fully automatic machine gun in D2?
-
6 AntwortenYou have sub machine guns now. I love getting a 10kill streak with corrective measure alone but I mean cmon that's not the direction PvP is going. As for PvE can say that the ONLY situation where I would choose a machine gun for my heavy slot is orb killing @ Golgo on Kings Fall. Cmon now let's not whine about this too.

So i'm not thew only one really sad about this ? This is a stupid move and all for pvp

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Synge_X: 6/13/2017 6:57:14 PMThis is good thinking on their part, two new weapons have been added to the heavy weapons family: shotguns and sniper rifles. If LMGs functioned the way that they do in Destiny 1, they would be completely imbalanced compared to all the other guns in that slot. Machine guns are basically being turned into mini guns, which possess drawbacks that LMGs didn't. The spin up time required to reach maximum fire rate, puts this heavy gun in line with the new loadout system. It's this kind of forward thinking that will lead to far less game crippling nerfs throughout all modes. Just my thoughts.

1 AntwortenThunderlord has been one of my favorite weapons to use in Destiny in pve and pvp. Bungie just removed one of the most fun weapon types to use. This sucks!

You have to give on some aspect of them, and they aren't going to give up the entire games rules for them. So you are left with something that is not living up to the fantasy of what you would expect. Complete conjecture, but that's what I get out of it. Felt out of place in D1 to begin with for the same reasons anyway.
-
Yeah I just really don't understand the thought process behind that decision

2 AntwortenAtleast we get a Gatling gun in the primary.

Agreed, the other "power weapons" and i use that term very ironic here... They do absolutely no noticeable damage against even trash mobs.
