You might be great, but I don't understand anyone saying this game is competitive. Low tick rate and lag (and some other hidden Bungie math) means that you don't even see what your opponent sees, and neither view are considered for what the game registers in the end. I like the game for what it is, but I don't agree with that word.

When there's the potential that one person is getting the correct information and his opponent isn't, or when one has their hit count... though both aimed right. It's poop. Since competitive doesn't have one pure definition, sure you're right, but again I think that anyone that gives this game some measure of legitimacy in a discussion of it being competitive.. well I think they're misguided. D1 added a relatively competitive mode after they already had the base game setup. A base game that had too many things under par with what is expected for a game that most would call competitive. Low tick rate, one that's lower than just about any other fps game. A low frame rate, but not so low that there aren't games that share that spec. Physics and damage arbitration that are so off you can hardly see the results as anything but an error. There's no event that excuses kill trades in the 5+ second range. Nobody is playing with 5000ms lag. There's much more going wrong there. That in no way means that you aren't capable, or a terror in this game, but this game can give you kills you don't deserve, as well as give someone to a great degree your lesser kills against you they didn't earn. If you can't rely on the results except in a general way, what do they matter? Of course all of these concerns go away when you're placed in Bungies studio or in an event, but that's really the exception.

Im not really sure what you meant to say, but fixing hit detection is a must

Would seem it is more their consideration in D2. Sad the game seems to play so much slower.
