Feel free to tell funny D&D stories you've had. Mine as rather recent. So it was myself and two of my friends (not including DM) and we were warned that an orc war party was closing in on the nation's capital. So, we were put in charge of protecting the city and preparing for war over the course of 2 weeks in game time. We agreed to help out and recruited a master blacksmith and gathered all the needed materials when my friend (playing a changeling) says "there was a dragon in the mines when I got these materials. Who wants to fight a dragon?" Our DM then told him "If you actually go, you will die. You know that right?" So, long story short, my changeling friend died and I decapitated a dragon with a vorpal sword.
