Can bladedancers get an armor buff? Or perhaps they don't make a loud sound to alert everyone in the map and the next crucible map over that they just went blade dancer, so getting closer to the enemies without alerting them is possible?
Considering everyone packs a shotty and all it takes is shotgun+melee combo to kill a blade dancer in ONE v ONE without assistance, I think blade dancers need SOME kind of tweak
EDIT:
-------------------------------
FAQ/Statements I've observed on this thread:
Q: A shotgun + melee combo can take out other supers too, why should blade dancers get tweaked/buffed?
A: Because other supers don't require immediate proximity to be useful. A golden gun will die just as easily to shotgun + Melee combo, but unlike the Blade dancers, a golden gun has no need to get close enough to be within shotgun range
Q: They don't need an armor buff
A: No but they need some form of tweaking to be as viable as other supers. It's ridiculous that a super that has absolutely no range should be at more of a risk of dying at close quarters combat than at a distance. Once the blade dancer has closed the distance between them and their opponents, they should be at home there, not at a greater risk of dying.
Q: Go invisible so they can't find you
A: Yes, most blade dancers are well aware of this, but there is crux to this. Activating a blade dance makes a loud sound everyone can hear. Furthermore, even while invisible, you continue to make a sound that opponents can hear when you're getting close to them, even while invisible. Which leaves you equally open to the shotgun+melee combo, whether you're invisible or not. Or for them to start running. Since the nerf, it is near impossible for a blade dancer, the subclass that prioritizes stealth and agility, to catch an opponent.
Q: Why don't you spam the trigger button to make yourself harder to hit?
A: I don't know how so many people don't seem to know this, but the blade dancer received a nerf a while back where spamming that drains your ability much faster now. With the addition to the agility nerf, it's quite crippling. If you spam the blade dance slashes you might be harder to hit but your ability will drain very quickly - again, I find this to be a problem. The blade dancer, which prides themselves on agility, cannot fully use their agility to their advantage. Agility and stealth, the two essential strong suits of the blade dancer that made them so deadly in close quarters combat (CQC) have both been nerfed heavily, and since then the shotguns have also become a meta which is a one-two punch to the viability of the blade dancers.
Q: Razor's Edge
A: Yes, this adds a bit of range, but essentializing this perk doesn't fix the problem. You shouldn't feel forced to equip a perk to make a super seem viable.
Q: <Insert guardian's name here> is really good with the blade dance
A: Even a twig in the hands of a master can become a deadly weapon...just watch Jackie Chan Adventures. So while this person might still be good with this ability, that does not change the fact that I noticed this flaw to the blade dance ability and choose to call it out.
EDIT #2: Welp, looks like the tags are gone and I can't add them back again now either. I had hunter, bladedancer, and supers tagged prior to making the first edit.

Honestly it's in such a bad state right now, it should just be renamed to TradeDancer because that's all it can do unless you're a god tier player. And the nerfs to agility and blink don't help it's case. You can make the argument that running mask of third man helps negate the energy nerf to the super. But I shouldn't be forced to use an exotic to make it viable.its worse than the no back ups situation for defender Titan.

Yea it should be buffed! Look at sunbreaker! You get hammers to ohk at range with tracking, then you get surcharge which shuts down every super, then you get caturize which will grant health regeneration on every ability for your sunbreaker. Also you get to skate around the map with 3 times the agility of bladedancer. Then there's bladedancer, you have to be within 3 feet to kill them, you get razors edge, but you have to completely stop and aim it, lasts way shorter, has gotten an agility nerf, and drained super energy from another nerf when swinging it. Such bull..

2 AntwortenMelee+ shotgun kill blade dancer/sunsinger/ sunbreaker... all super i think

35 AntwortenShotgun melee beats every super. Stop being predictable. Just because you have a super doesn't mean you're untouchable.

2 AntwortenI agree. Bladedancers do in fact need a buff. It's a melee super. However, I don't think it should require increased armor, instead utilize the Hunter's main attribute, agility. I believe than Arc Blade needs to buff the agility. It's very hunter-like and Bladedancer is supposed to feel like a very agile "hit and run" kind of subclass.

Give the bladedancers katanas meaning more range.

14 Antwortenyou know what's even better? sunbreakers.... lasts longer than blade faster than a blade OHK from range auto tracking OHK surcharge cauterize... which is infinitely better than hungering blade oh yea and they aren't completely useless in pve to boot

You can kill also a sunbreaker with shotgun+ melee and he is not fast like a bladedancer with blink, and hammers don t do any damage

2 AntwortenBungo hates blade dancers just let it go I changed my subclass to nightstalker because of it.

2 AntwortenThat happen bc U are trash playing the game, go I watch how the people of Osiris Play as bladedancer and learn some tips what you are asking for is Sunbreaker 2.0 also bladedancer has the best healing super perk... U are using the best subclass for pvp stop being bad

1 AntwortenI've found success in running Vanish. Can't shotty what they didn't see coming. While it doesn't make you ACTUALLY invisible, it hides you from radar as you bum-rush a group from a flank.

I agree everyone with the shotties can shotgun melee a bladedancer. When every other super can almost tank it

2 AntwortenI think they should move faster and slightly farther

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von CMoneyStreth: 1/6/2017 6:15:32 PMEver seen realkraftyy blade dance? That dude is OP with his blade dancer. In my opinion, it makes sense that shotguns would be an effective counter to blade dancers, they have the only super that is strictly CQC. You know what is almost impossible to do? Snipe a blade dancer out of their super when they are actually blading. Hammers? 100% easier to snipe out of their super. Stormtrance? If they don't use ionic blink, 100% easier to snipe out of their super. Stormtrance is pretty squishy anyway. Every super has a counter.

1 AntwortenThis happens to all supers shotguns are the problem.
-
1 AntwortenBlade dancer, and golden gun cannot resist shots from shotguns only night stalker super when it's in effect every other class has little more DPS resistance.
