Here are some of my suggestions (and a friend's) to help improve trials to make it a more enjoyable experience!
Also this is a discussion please treat each other with respect we are all in the same community! These are just my suggestions please be nice in the comments
1) So a fellow friend of mine suggested this amazing idea for a possible system for trials which would benefit everyone! The proposed idea is instead of only being able to lose once in order to reach the lighthouse how about a system where if you lose you get set back a yellow dot / game (or two) but if you win you move forward a yellow dot. You will still have to get 9 yellow dots of course. This system will allow less skilled guardians who are not able to reach the lighthouse and make it easier for trials sherpas to take said guardians to the lighthouse and thus reduces the need for pay for flawless people (which I do not agree with).
The controversy behind this system is, it would give people less incentive for people to watch trials sherpas since they would more easily flawless themselves. It would also remove the concept that trials is meant to be unforgiving and means that more guardians will reach the lighthouse (especially those that struggle).
2) Another improvement I would suggest is spawn rotation! Most crucible maps are very asymmetrical and one sided and losing a game purely down to who has the better spawn is unfair I would suggest to Bungie switch spawns every round to keep it fair and unbiased.
3) Remove heavy ammo round! This round may be controversial, although it is a wildcard round some spawns are closer or have a higher chance of collecting the heavy ammo box which is unfair because the team that does pick up the heavy will most likely win. Also if you're a skilled team anyways and you pick up the heavy you will just further destroy the enemy team.
4) The rewards are so stale I feel like you should be able to earn normal crucible loot from playing trials it would give more incentive to play trials and so increase the player base so you don't have to constantly match sweaty players and if you have already collected everything there is from trials it gives me reason to play during the weekend.
5) Nerf Memory of Skorri! This artifact is very broken when playing against campy teams who just sit in spawn and wait for their super energies in order to win. It is toxic to play against and unfair to lose a team who don't use weapons but rather only their supers to win. It ruins the experience of crucible and is a very big reason why many people do not return!
6) Make trials purely CBMM! Have you ever played against a fully middle eastern team despite being from the UK / US? Well I have many times and it is not fun for either team to lose to lag / latency. Right now trials is SBMM per win meaning the system will match you with equally skilled players with similar or same amount of wins. Do not believe bungie when they say it is purely CBMM when we all know it isn't and I as well as many destiny youtubers all know this!
Please give this a like and bump if you agree with any of the points! And also comment your suggestions or thoughts on this. If you suggest any improvements I will add them to the list and also credit you!
I am a trials sherpa with a 3 KD average but I still want everyone to experience the lighthouse at least once!
If you're struggling I stream trials every weekend on my Twitch which is now at 4.4K followers! http://www.twitch.tv/FainTzOG

18 AntwortenSimple ways to improve trials: 1. Once a character has gone flawless, they cannot go back to the lighthouse until after reset. This limits players to a lighthouse trip to three a week if they have 3 characters - once per character. This will help eliminate some carries. 2. Tiered competition. The game tracks how many lighthouse trips you have had and it tries to match you up with similarly situated players. If you've never been to the lighthouse, you'll get matched up with players who are in a similar position. Seems logical to me. 3. Standardized weapons and standardized ability timers- Trials offers a selection of weapons in every archetype with standardized perks so that everyone is using the same stuff. You can only use the Trials weapons in Trials, and you cannot launch matchmaking unless you have trials weapons equipped and no exotic armor pieces equipped. By standardizing combat, you eliminate any advantage one group may have over the other and you have a balanced playing field. 4. Similar to #3, while IN matches, you cannot switch to another weapon that is not a Trials-specific weapon or you are auto-DQ'd and you lose the match. 5. You accumulate Trials-Specific currency for each match you win on a single card. If you fail on your card, the currency marker resets to 0. If you complete a flawless run (with or without the mercy boon), You will have enough currency to buy ONE of the trials weapons you actually used for your flawless run from a special vendor in the lighthouse. This means you essentially get to pick a gun to "earn" at the beginning of the process. It adds exclusivity because you can't buy them unless you go to the lighthouse. But everyone gets to use them in the trials tournament, so the playing field is even. (This can be expanded to include armor/class armor/cosmetics too if players desire). 6. Dedicated servers. These are a MUST so that Bungie can have people policing the system while Trials competition is going on, so cheaters can be rapidly eliminated. 7. No objectives. Make it combat based. Tied rounds count as a loss for both teams, and if the match is tied 4-4, and the final round ends in a draw, you go to extra rounds until someone wins. I'm sure more can be added to improve this system, but I think its fair, creates an even playing field, reduces the toxicity of Trials as it currently stands, and overall, I think everyone wins.
