Hello all,
For those of you who are experiencing PSN issues, it seems like PSN is down in specific regions, which may include the east coast of the U.S., the U.K., and Japan; if any other regions are affected, it'd be cool to know.
It appears like massive cyber-attacks are being made on companies such as Spotify, Amazon, Twitter, Reddit, and more. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-10-21/internet-service-disrupted-in-large-parts-of-eastern-u-s
Sony has acknowledged their predicament with this recent tweet.

For those who are experiencing PSN problems, the best thing to do for now is to stay tuned to their PS Support account for any breaking news, and I'll update this post if anything else comes up as well.

2 AntwortenAustralia is waking up, so more reports will be coming in like this. We seem to be experiencing similar issues like the rest of you. I'm in Sydney, so I would be interested to see if it is occurring in other parts of Australia.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Vicious_19: 10/21/2016 9:31:37 PMUS West coast is also down, not just east and central. They have brought back up a few of the PS services though. Currently the only things down right now as of typing this post are: The PlayStation Store Gaming and Social and Account Management services Edit: Everything just went down again as of 2:09 pm PST, 4:09 pm CST, 5:09 pm EST Here's a Link to the PSN Status site: https://status.playstation.com/en-US/

1 AntwortenHow is it a Sony issue if I can do everything on my playstation except play destiny?
-
West Coast down.
-
2 AntwortenI think the issue has been dealt with, me and my friends are able to sign in and play with no problems.
-
7 AntwortenStill down in Seattle. Let's me log in and choose character but then boots me. Keeps giving me the "may be logged in elsewhere" message.
-
From what I've heard, it's not just psn, lots of other services are down. My school's wifi was messed up today too. From what I understand, granted I could be wrong, it is(was) a mass ddos (denial of service)

Going to "restore licenses" on the PS more or less fixed this for me
-
3 AntwortenI'm in the UK and had the same issue earlier. I reset my PSN licences and all errors cleared. No problems after that at all for me....

3 AntwortenDyn just announced they are being hit for the 3rd time. It's a massive ddos attack coming from millions of IP's. It is expected to get worse before it gets better, according to Dyn.

Alaska's down as well...

1 AntwortenCentral Canada is experiencing problems now too
-
2 AntwortenDoes this have anything to do with the major ddos-ing that hit a majority of the east coast earlier? o.O
