3 AntwortenBesides connection issues, I don't see why everyone botched about skill based match making, like omg you can't pub stomp kids who never play this game whatever will I do, "waaaah I have to play competent players" is all I'm hearing

14 AntwortenThe biggest problem from SBMM is that many "skilled" players have bad connections. I'm also in Top 1% but already 2 years i'm being matchmaked with players where i experience delay/ latency and my bullets not doing any damage. Also in Trials...Some players have 50 win streaks. I know what players those are: the ones i see much too late on my screen and which almost don't take any damage. So the biggest problem of SBMM is being matched with players from too far from each other. That's why one team always has a big connection advantage.

Skill based matchmaking shoulnt even be allowed in a videogame with old p2p based connection for multiplayer content.
-
sbmm should NEVER be in any online fps casual playlist. separate competitive playlists can choose to incorporate skill based match algorithms and tweaked rule sets if they so choose. although i am not an advocate of complexity in matchmaking logic. in my view everyone is best served by lobbies formed purely on best connection possible. what everyone chooses to do in these lobbies is entirely up to them. but know that whatever you do, win, lose etc. you did so with the best connection the game and your isp could give you.

He swings, he misses!

Eliminate SBMM, and you effectively eliminate Crucible competition, I would think. I'm a below-average player, and if I went in there and just got the crap kicked out of me every game, I'd stop playing. So you guys still wind up playing only against hardcore experts, so nothing gained. But we don't get to play at all. And I don't have to tell you that the Crucible is very nice for tiding players over through periods where little or no PvE content has been introduced. If most players were driven out of it by repeated stompings administered by expert players, Destiny itself might ultimately fade into oblivion. I don't think any of us wants that.

Bearbeitet von iDREXCIYA: 10/3/2016 4:27:24 PMI've been gaming since the 80s, Destiny is in my top 3 laggiest games I've ever played, there are games over 10 years old that had better connections. SBMM is a part of the problem, alongside shitty peer 2 peer.

Bearbeitet von evlwarhed: 10/3/2016 12:49:26 PMFor the billionth time, it's the damage referee most the time! If someone has bad connection throughout match, then sure it's connection. When the bars blink like xmas trees the whole match? That's bungie manipulating the outcome of our w/l and k/d. No one realizes that EVERY game is close, then not, close, then not, then a nailbiter at end? Seldomly is there an outright brutal defeat. At one time or another the losing team will obtain a jump that if team is competitive, they can win in the last minute or 2

2 AntwortenAs far as I'm concerned SBMM isn't a thing right now.I cannot play any playlist that is not the daily because the Destiny Crucible population in my country is so low that I get a Mongoose error every time I try to matchmake anything. The game literally refuses to put me in a game with foreigners so it just matchmakes until it times out and gives me an error. Then I repeat that all day and rage that I cannot complete a quest that requires I play Salvage.I'd rather a laggy game than no game.
-
Nah, they need to buy some servers, and then make skill based searches even stricter.
-
All of the red barring and constant lag got me thinking back to the days of Action Quake 2. Then I remembered... That game (which came out in 1998) had the ability to set ping limits. 1998 Bungie... You're almost 20 years behind the curve. Though, it's actually impressive to be that daft.

Ye I don't like how crucible isn't as casual as it once was. Every match is vendor hawksaws and Midas, with a dash of the same shit as yesterday.

Sure. I almost never have lagg problems in crucible, but I would love to go back to the old pubstomping, mercy-rule every other game days of the past.
-
There should be a ping limit to play the game
-
Yeah dude same here i hate Skill Kased Match Making too.
-
2 AntwortenSBMM is trash in every game. There should be seperate ranked playlists for the players who care about skill.
-
Like SBMM is fun until you get lagfest matches, which are way to common. I think connection based match making is just better. It makes bad players get good by putting them against good players and let's matches stable.
-
This wont be fixed until destiny 2 if they decide to get rid of using 1980 technology. they could start getting rid of damage referee, the algorithm of everyone having a 50/50 win percentage. it seams like they want to add more and take nothing out which just adds to the problem. now connection issues are also bad in pve activities to, blinking dregs, baboon and weasles running wild, getting kicked out of a strike when your almost done with the final boss. they should just change everything back to the vanilla, dark below, house of wolves settings then make minor changes.
