Bungie should remove all range increasing perks on high impact shotguns. Make people actually have to be close range to get kills.

stupid taken tot .......
-
Lol been around since launch. Nice try though.
-
Bring back shot package
-
It's not the range on shotguns that makes them in the place they are. Sliding, blinking, and abilities like this make it really quick and easy to close the gap.
-
You still DO have to be close to get kills.. Someone was not here in Y1
-
Nope was here. Definitely agree the range was more of an issue in year one but still needs to be lower.
-
Lol no it doesn't. Git gud.
-
So nothing constructive? Move along please
-
-
No. Shotguns are inconsistent, in their range as it is already
-
Meh not really. Still the most used special by a landslide.
-
The consistency does not rely on how many people use it
-
Even in real life a shot gun with a slug round can hit 200 yards so the range even in max won't even come close to that in this game. Just pay attention to radar and don't miss. Simple
-
This is a game lol who cares about a slug shotgun in real life that has no equivalent in this game. As it stands medium impact shotguns basically see zero play. Trying to suggest ways to change that.
-
The Chaperone is a slug shotgun. That happens to be in this game.
-
Oh yeah! I forgot that was in the game. Thing has been gathering rust in my vault since the first couple weeks of Taken King. Can it headshot someone from 200 yards in game?
-
[quote]This is a game lol who cares about a slug shotgun in real life that has no equivalent in this game. As it stands medium impact shotguns basically see zero play. -
Hmmmm I was referring to shotguns not snipers but I can see you don't understand that.
-
Doesn't mean you need to destroy shotguns because realistically low impact you baby rounds more like 16 to 20 Guage rounds and high impact are using 12 Guage. If that's the answer then we should make every gun the same stats all pulse rifles, all autos, all snipers, all hand cannons, all scout rifles, the same in damage out put and have no diversity to weapons to choose from. Then remove unflinching and any perk that buffs the gun and have a flat perk of optics and grips and see that gun skill. There are a lot of cry babies in this game that's a fact
-
So having High impact shotguns dominant the game is the answer? There is literally NO reason to use a medium impact shotgun. I am not talking about nerfing damage. This is about High impact shotguns having too much range. Make them one hit kills but even closer and maybe allow med impact shotguns to roll range perks still and or just have higher range so they see some usage. Bungie literally just nerfed med-high impact snipers because they made another type of sniper completely useless.
-
My answer is each weapon has advantages and disadvantages and play towards that weapon type I still see medium impact shotguns like 2 to the morgue around and things like the next big thing which if you have full auto that shotgun does well. Most shot gun kills rarely consist at range the shots sometimes kill you sometimes not its the melee behind it that finishes you from momentum from the shotgun range shot. I don't believe in the weapon buffs and nerfs unless if it was Fabian strategy and it being exotic it was outclassed but universal remote and invective are running around and are low impact yet succeed. It's the same thing you don't push as fast with a spare change as you. Do with a pdx 45 or even a grasp. Those low impact shot guns still can perform on the right maps I used to use 2 to the morgue over my party crasher because I had crowd control and a bit of range but not as much as party crasher yet did better with that than my party crasher.
-
I get what you're saying but after the UR nerf I've been killed by one since ROI. Maybe its the tier of skill I am in or whatever but I haven't been killed by a sidearm, fusion rifle or low-med impact shotgun since ROI launch. I would rather primaries be brought up in damage so running around with a shotgun isn't as effective but when most people run around with shotguns something has to change I would think.
-
What would work in my opinion is make it like battlefield or call of duty where your back up gun is primarily a side arm and the rest are primaries that way you have to pick what you are best at like shotgun, sniper, auto rifle and so on depending on map
-
Lol in real life. And in real life you can dress as a wizard, jump 50 feet in the air, throw magic bombs and teleport
-
People always make fun of me when I dress as a warlock. None of them take my threat to nova bomb them serious at all. When I pull the shotgun out though they take me way more serious
