After reading several Grimoire Cards, learning of the awesome origins of the Taken and the Hive, and of the origins of the Guardians, I came to a conclusion that I'm sure others have as well:
We are not the good guys. At all.
Yeah, I'm going on a limb here but I think the Traveler is definitely a bad guy. We are undead soldiers that can't die (much like the hive), that go out and kill enemies of the Traveler. Notice that these aliens didn't seem to hunt humans until the arrival of the Traveler. They're going after it. The Fallen are a pirate alien race that wanted revenge after being abandoned by the Traveler. The Vex are keepers of time that you have hunted down and killed to stop them from shifting time, The Cabal are a superior alien force that wants us dead for reasons I don't know of yet. I still need to read more. The Hive have come to chase the Traveler and consume it. They all hate the Traveler and it seems that no matter where it has gone, disaster has fallen. This raises the question of where Destiny will go. Will we fight on behest of the Traveler in Destiny 2 to find out what it's intentions are? Will we play other humans who may have survived somewhere else in the universe who know of the Travelers intentions? I really like the concept that the darkness is a lie, and is nothing more than aliens trying to stop an intergalactic evil. What do you guys think?

4 AntwortenAn even bigger question. Why, out of the hundreds of worlds the Traveler has visited, enlightened, and eventually abandoned, did it choose to stay? Why humanity? Regardless of it's intentions, there has to be a reason that something that has chosen to run for most of it's existence decided to stop and then sacrifice itself to keep this one place safe. Think about that!
