So uh. Why nerf Strikers?

What needs to be needs to be nerfed? Nothing. And for people saying shoulder charge, if you're half decent with a god damn gun you can easily put a charging Titan
Down Below
with a few shots. Stop the damn whining. Pleeeeease. Edit: To those few saying "Ohhhh it's a one hit kill" A one hit kill that you can see charging at you, and in most cases have time to gun down before being hit. That said, fusion grenade are a one hit if they stick, shotguns usually one hit along with a few other abilities. So the one hit thing is invalid. It honestly wouldn't be a viable perk if it wasn't one hit. Wouldn't be a reason to use it. Edit 2:Honestly, all a striker nerf would do is effectively kill it's pvp viability. It couldn't even be considered a Nerf. Not like neutering. Let's be honest, all year ones km now this. Striker Titans had it rough from day. Blaming. One. And with all these new, flashy supers, we pretty much faded into obscurity. Until our name came up next on the nerf list because "my blink didn't save me from the mean shoulder" or "I can't aim at a charging player 20 feet away, who's running in a straight line so I can keep them from one hit killing me." Come the blame on. It's blaming motherblaming ridiculous at this point. Stop the damn whining. And to address Titan skating. It's difficult to do, and very easily countered by various things. In addition to that, the amount of Titan skating I see in my pvp matches are very low. So the complaints are most likely coming from people who are just anally traumatized due to lack of skill. Edit: We're trending. o.o Didn't expect that to happen. Keep dropping in to defend your stances, no b8 m8.

The Crucible, 3 years from now: Fred dropped into a game already in progress. Twas nothing that surprised him; he's been dropped into games already in progress for the last hour now. Surprisingly, his team was in the lead, so perhaps some unfortunate soul got hit with an error code. Doesn't matter to him now, for his mind is now focused on his target. Ever since that new "Bounty" feature was added in, there was only one target Fred was allowed to kill. In this new 6v6 environment, one player is matched up against another player, so hunting for more than one target is nigh impossible. It didn't bother Fred though, for he'd been paired up with nothing but PvE scrubs for the last hour (even though Bungie dropped PvE support two years ago, these people still play the old Story missions. For "fun", laughingly). His radar lit up. Target was in range. Fred's semi-automatic rifle felt almost giddy in his hand; it seemed like forever since his rifle's hunger had been satisfied, and Fred was eager to let it feast. Suddenly, his target appeared before him, rounding a corner for only the briefest second before disappearing again. Fred managed to get three shots to connect. A good start. Only 97 more to go until his target is eliminated. With the last major Crucible update, Special and Heavy weapons were removed from Destiny, effectively annihilating any and all Sniper, Shotgun or MG meta's that had previously existed. That update also brought the inclusion of a single weapon system; every player carries the same rifle. This rifle has unlimited ammo, and never needs to be reloaded. Semi-automatic, of course. However, they also removed shields, and introduced a "Hitpoint" system; 100 Hitpoints, 100 shots. No grenades. No Special weapons. No Heavy weapons. Just you, your rifle, and your target. The way Fred preferred it. He chased his target around a gondola-like structure. His target could be baiting him, for all Fred knew, but Fred was eager. He wanted this kill. He needed it. There he was again, facing Fred head-on this time. A perfect, fair engagement. The shots rang out for what felt like a dragged out moment, but eventually both Guardians found themselves behind cover. Fred checked his remaining health: 66%. Fred felt heat come to his cheeks; he had been careless in that engagement. He would make sure to correct his errors on their next confrontation. A few minutes went by, with Fred taking in the scope of his Team's battle. The score was 5-3; Fred's team has five kills, and his enemies only have a measly 3. The objective is first to 10. They were at the halfway point, but the night is still young. This match could last for another 10 minutes, easily. Fred considered where his target may be hiding. If only Fred could use his Super, but those were as ancient as the Traveler itself, long removed from a Guardian's arsenal of chaos. Fred couldn't let these thoughts of the glory days distract him, though. He had to brush the thoughts of using Exotic weapons from his mind. To banish the memories his team had running with Truth in the Iron Banner. To exile the time he managed to take out an entire team with expertly placed shots from a Sniper rifle to the darkest corners of his consciousness. He had a target to kill, and the night was still young.
