I ran around Mars on patrol and took some really good captures of the scenery. I'm liking this no-hud thing.

3 AntwortenThis is why I wish bungie would use the concept of the calcified fragments or something similar on all the planets. I think one thing we can all agree on that this game game is very aesthetically pleasing. How much fun would it be to really use that open world to search and explore to complete quests? I was truly surprised this game never really had that element of a treasure hunt. I'm going to give an example of what I would like to see implemented. Let's go back to year one with the Gjallarhorn. Reading the lore on this weapon we know that at the battle of Twilight gap this beast of a weapon was forged from fallen guardians armor and used to help lead us to victory. So here is how the story/quest would go to obtain the weapon: The fallen got ahold of the Gjallarhorn and realized it's power was too mighty so they destroyed the weapon. They broke up all the pieces of armor that were used to forge the weapon and we're scattered all throughout the Cosmodrone. Now it wouldn't be as simple as just an easter egg hunt to collect all the pieces, just scouring the planet, that would be too simple. Although the first part should be just a hidden part that we find to activate the quest. Take it back to Banshee and each part triggers a memory because he previously knew the guardians by the armor that was used to create the weapon. The second piece could be killing a 1000 enemies on the Cosmodrone activates a boss(very difficult) to spawn in a random location. Sort of like a public event, but if you don't beat him you have to kill 1000 enemies for him to spawn again. The third piece could be some kind of puzzle. The Cosmodrone is an old space station so they could make us go around and do stuff on all the computers that would lead to the third piece. Giving us alot of info and story at this juncture. This step is more mental than physical. The fourth piece I think should be an underwater element. Maybe a mission that is activated out we can swim out in the forgotten shore. It is definitely possible those of us who are older remember Super Mario 64 and that big underwater level. Now I'm just going to get to the final piece but I think I would like to see more than five, I'm just trying to wrap this up so it doesn't get too long(too late), but I think you guys get the gist of where this is going. After we have collected all the previous pieces of armor it activates a mission/strike. We fly in with a fire team and basically we have Intel stating the location of the last piece. A commander from the Fallen house of kings knows where we can find it but he is not going to let us have it that easy. We do all of our typical strike stuff and we get to the boss. This fight wouldn't be too bad and it seems like we are going to defeat him pretty easy but right before we kill him and take the armor a time portal activates and the Kell goes through! The Kings have gotten hold of Vex technology(Maybe a cutscene there!?) Anyway once he goes through the portal it closes. We are left in the arena and we must figure out some type of way to open the portal. This will be like some mini puzzle. Once we finally figure it out we go through the portal we end up at the battle of Twilight Gap and it is complete madness. Fallen and Guardians fighting everywhere. The fallen forces seem to strong and we are starting to lose hope. Then we realize we are at the point in time where this gun was first created, we stumble across the final piece that gives the launcher Wolfpack rounds and in an epic moment the Gjallarhorn is constructed and since it is a huge battle there is heavy ammo crates everywhere, so let's just say the rest is history :). Once we defeat the Kell we realize he never had the piece and we had to go back in time to get it anyway but he does have the device to send us back to our own time and that's the end of the quest. I kind of just wrote this as I went along and it wasn't well thought out so I apologize to all who read but I think most get the idea of where I was going and we all would love to see a real quest like this in the future.

19 AntwortenEvery time I see this kind of shit it hurts my heart... Reminds me of what Destiny was supposed to be... All us day 1ers, we saw all the advertisements, the ViDocs, all that jazz... can we just take a moment to remember the feeling of starting up Destiny for the very first time? No seriously, put your phone down or look away from your screen and just remember. Xbox and Playstation alike, didn't matter. It was... it was incredible. A powerful new Guardian with Peter Dinklage in our hands and the worlds at our feet. Let's just take a moment to remember what we thought then... what we expected from Destiny before we realized what it actually was. I hate that feeling because it breaks it my heart. I don't wanna sound like one of those "day1ersRfaze" kind of guys, but this is one thing the newcomers will never truly understand. Not from Destiny. Not to this caliber. In fact, before the reality of Destiny hit me, I was a very trusting guy video game wise. I pre-ordered a lot of games. But this game put the nail in the coffin. I like the game, but only because I feel obliged to by nostalgia. The days of VoG and maybe CE were Destiny's best days.

These are gorgeous. Part of the reason I keep logging on. And supportive Fireteams. Truly nice community in Destiny.

Good thing bungie decided to add the option to turn the HUD completely off. Perfect for Instagram

Awesome. If the gameplay and in-game story was as fleshed out and rich as the graphics, Destiny would be the best game ever. The skyboxes in Destiny always blew me away. I hope the maps become much bigger in Destiny 2.

6 AntwortenI've always really appreciated the look of this game. The sky lines of every planet at beautiful to look at. From the craters of the moon. To the volcanoes of Venus. To the dunes of Mars. Absolutely stunning. Even the earth, how it has that abandoned feel about it. The setting of this game is second to none.

4 AntwortenJust a question, I know that when you remove your hud you can't see health, radar, ammo of ability charges but how did you make it so you don't see your gun?
