Should burn be in PvP?
Saw a couple of people arguing about it on another post. Let me know what you think.

No it would ruin pve even more. People would be constantly asking for nerfs.

No, this would be a terrible idea. It would make the crucible unbalanced.

One hit kills are already wayyyy too common, IMO. Burn would be nothing but annoying.

Yes, but it should be more of a way to prevent health regen instead of landing a kill.

1 AntwortenYes with nades though some are maybe a bit much. No with thorn. Have some sort of side effect yes, that's the point of the gun, maybe it stops your health regen for a bit or something similar to a suppression grenade but not burning your health away after a hit.

For thorn I don't care. For Sunsinger yes unless they switched those perks for something more supportive.

1 AntwortenI think it shouldn't show the 'burner' the tick damage. Give the other player a chance to escape and recover. Thorn and Firebolts are OP because of 1. Their damage output 2. Prevents recovery and TELLS enemies where the victim is

Bearbeitet von bootsmane: 2/4/2016 2:20:21 PMI think the Warlock firebolt grenades are way too overpowered. It can tag up to 3 enemies with one grenade. And with the extender burn it does somewhere around 175 damage which leaves you one shot literally with any gun. Even the doctrine of passing. They cut thorn damage in half bc it was to OP. That's the only thing about the Warlock I want to change. Well that and the one hit kill melee while radiance is active. No one in history has ever used song of flame where it recharges your teammates abilities just as fast as a Warlock with radiance active. While it would be very good if every one was grouped together bc then it's not just the Warlock spamming grenades it's every one. Literally the whole team could each throw as many grenades as a radiance Warlock. But still no one uses it. In Destiny 2 the better change the skill tree. They should take out grenade burn completely and replace it with something else. After blinking give them a juggernaut shield like the titan has after Sprinting That would be a cool perk. Extremely helpful too. And since the time weapons are ready after blinking got nerfed it wouldn't be too op. The shield would go away when you would try to shoot or run.

I can see it now. Hey we removed burns from PvP but as a unexpected bug it took them away in PvE also. We will try to fix this issue in a few months.

Grenades and melee are fine. But thorn?...no primary should have a burn. That said I've no problem fighting Antone with thorn equipped I just think its stupid to have a burn on a primary weapon.
