I agree with BxL3G1T. There is another post where someone commented about one gun being the meta as being a problem. I agree with that point too. This situation occurs from the unfortunate continued weapon tweaking. Sure there is data from the multiplayer competition, but the tweaking affects the whole game not just say Crucible events. I used a Boolean Gemini mostly this past time in IB for all three of my characters. I am not the best Crucible player, but I have seen my results get better over time. It just takes time. Find the gear that works for you and practice it. If something looks good, then give it a try. For example, I have learned rangefinder, glass half full, persistence, and braced frame are some of my favorite perks on gear. Hidden hand and sights that deal with target acquisition have helped me a lot too. One last thing I experimented a LOT with was look sensitivity. I finally found a setting that has allowed me to learn the pace of the game. For my case, I was playing with my look sensitivity being way too fast so when I got in a close clutch it was a win for the other player but no so much any more. One Destiny player I was playing a lot against the night I finally found my right look sensitivity setting had been owning me for over an hour. Once I got one setting right, I shut him down with a Telesto every time he got close. He/She sent me a message asking what the heck I did. I told them it was look sensitivity. We ended up in the next match as team mates and they experimented too and found a better a setting for their play style. Example: one of the Dreadnaught maps I ended with 30 kills which is rare and I was using a Warlock under the Voidwalker class. My gear was a Boolean Gemini at 290, Telesto 310, and the Objection IV 292. Half the other team was using the MIDA but a few headshots from another scout rifle like the Boolean stopped all of them mid to long range. All three players were running Conspiracy Theory D for short range engagements but they cannot use them when taken out mid to long range. I hope this helps. It takes time and practice. I have found watching certain You Tube guys playing Crucible has helped me too. Mr Fruit, Blessious, etc have been helpful channels for me. You get to see how they play and frankly when you see what some people do and their gear you can see how you can incorporate it into your own gameplay style. I hope this helps. Hang in there.
