Anyone who has ever worked in customer service of any sort, know that "Entitled" customers are the worse customer you'll ever encounter. From unrealistic expectations of their service, product, company, to unrealistic expectations of a resolution to their problem, you can never make them happy.
They are the people that drop their expensive cell phone in a lake and then demand the cell phone provider (because a mysterious unnamed agent was "rude" to them) replace their device free of charge. They are the customer that demands a free meal because they have a few less fries than they had the last visit.
They are the customer that demands credit and restitution for issues that have nothing to do with the company they are calling. They are the loudest, rudest kind, and yet they tend to pay the least, if they pay at all.
I don't know of ANYBODY who likes to deal with said folks because at the end of the day, its not about resolving whatever trivial problem they have, but giving them what they, and they ONLY, want.
What does this have to do with Destiny you say?
Everything...
A few weeks ago my clan needed an extra arm and used LFG to get our sixth Guardian. It turned out to be a 15 year old kid. No issue, we help kids all the time and don't mind as long as they listen. The kid noticed several us using the "Raise the Zombies" dance and then went on a rant about microtransactions and that we shouldn't waste our money on such rubbish and in fact are ruining Destiny for everyone.
He got a swift boot.
By his own admission, his parents paid for the game, his Xbox Live account, his internet connection, yet he wanted to lecture a bunch of hard working adults on how to manage their money and their lives.
There you go... Entitled... Everything handed to him, but it wasn't enough.
Entitled are quick to criticize, but slow to offer any real solutions.
Entitled never offer actual suggestions, but insults.
Entitled are quick to take things out of context and or blow small issues out of proportion to prove an otherwise invalid point.
Entitled are quick to judge before actually seeing and or playing the content.
Entitled are accusatory and will trash anyone who disagrees with their point.
I see behavior like this on these forums. Its a cancer and it needs to stop.
Bungie hasn't made the best decisions in terms of Destiny and yes there are a LOT of things that could be better, like free Cheesecake delivered to my house everyday, but they've done a lot of good and have stayed in contact with us.
Good solid feedback that is civil is going to go much further than insults and accusations.
Just say'n...

The 15 year old kid comprehends that cash shops ruin games, and the adult does not. A 15 year old is not entitled because his parents got him a present dip shit. Or because his parents pay for the internet. That just makes him a ..... Child. This is exactly why video games are going to shit and have Cash shops . Because Developers spend time making Cash Shop content for entitled dildobags with extra money instead of making content for everyone. Who is entitled in this scenario, the 15 year old kid who knows cash shops are a scam , or the entitled adult with disposable money who can give a lesser crap about anything else except what They want, and if they Want it Now they will buy it Now .....Seems to Me the entitled person is You ,OP. You are acting Just like the people you were complaining about at the beginning of your Post, you even kicked a kid out of raid because he did not agree with your entitled attitude ) It's Just as I have always said . It is Adults with disposable money that ruin games , not kids , kids don't have disposable money, and they are not entitled. thanks for proving my point

4 AntwortenI worked at Taco Bell one summer. Never, ever again. Every other customer is crazy entitled. The worst was this one dude who would always ask for extra meat on his tacos (actually, his exact phrasing was "tell them meat is good for me") but would flip out when his tacos were $1.60 each. Like I'm sorry dude, but 60 cents is what extra meat costs. You can pay it or you can eat your tacos with the normal amount of meat. Those are your only options.

I love the people that constantly keep moaning and whining about how crap this game is and their profiles show they've played 1000+ hours.
-
My friends criticize me for micro transactions.

Ya, I just don't play with children. Makes destiny fun and my ears don't hurt.

The problem is that a lot of people are playing the game but not enjoying the game. So many people worry about light level, weapons and rewards that they for got about what they want. Example: my goal in destiny is to look good as a hunter and hopefully be a good sniper someday. When i log in my goal is not to finish the raid bcs i dont like it and im 307 so i dont see the necesity to do the raid bcs the raid has adsolutely nothing of my interest. Im not saying is bad im just saying i dont have areason to play it. I would rather do some strikes or get the dead orbit cloak which i already got ehich makes me a lot happy then killing oryx. My point is people would do nightfall, raid and osiris every week that thet get so tired of this game bcs they keep doing the same stuff for 2 years now. If you going to play a game play it your way.

4 Antworten"So I, like, went to Starbucks today and asked for that new holiday drink and they asked me which one. I was, like, totally, 'I dunno, I got it yesterday.' Then they listed like four or five holiday drinks and I was like, 'I dunno. It had espresso.' They totally didn't know which one so I like called my daddy and asked him what I like and he said oxy and money, which is totally true, but I was like, 'No, from Starbucks' and then my boyfriend reminded me we went to Panera yesterday not Starbucks. I was like, OMG! But I still yelled at their manager and got a free drink coupon because like daddy only pays for my Mercedes not my coffee, that stuff expensive." - Entitled white girl

14 AntwortenIt's not a matter of entitlement. Bungie disrespects us and outright lies to us, constantly. For many people, Bungie has burned through all the trust and confidence they accumulated in the Halo years. Now we hate them because they're not delivering the product they promised, and clearly have no intent to. When a company presents a product as containing certain features, and they accept money in exchange for that product, their customers ARE entitled to receive the advertised product. We haven't. If you think that's an example of 'entitled' customers, then you don't understand the term and need to educate yourself.

Yea but the customer is always right. Cuz he pays the bills

4 AntwortenYou are using entitled wrong. Seems the child knew the value of money and how MT can make companies greedy. Win for the kid.

Wow. This is one of the best posts I have ever read on the forums. Life is full of trade offs and compromises. We can't have everything we want right away. Video games have millions of line of code and thousands of man hours of hard work to make it work. The frequent line I see that Bungie is lazy if I don't get what I want. Well if you don't like what you have in Destiny I challenge the self entitled posters to go out and make their own video game and sell it on the market with all the other games.

7 AntwortenI was actually born with a silver spoon and mother refused to give birth to me anywhere else but inside of our family's Saleen S7 or Lamborghini. She made life difficult but she knew why she wanted. It's not easy being entitled you know. People waiting on you every day and sometimes when they bring your car around to you they don't even bother to wax it first. It's so frustrating, especially when they're new and don't bother opening the door for you. As you see the life of the entitled isn't as glorious as many think. We have our rough moments too. So what if I expect to be entitled? It's the life I was given and I deal with it with all its hardships. Think twice before making topics about us until you know the struggles we have to go thru
