I actually picked up BO3 as my first ever CoD game during Destiny downtime and was really intimidated by the fact that snipers had absolutely NO AIM ASSIST. Yet I tried it yesterday and I play about half my games on any game mode with a sniper. Sniping in Destiny is my main preference and I can truly say that sniping in Destiny is no harder than sniping in CoD. Saying sniping in CoD is difficult is like saying that throwing a fusion grenade is impossible. It's not true. If you're a good sniper in Destiny, you'll still be a decent sniper in CoD. I'm not joking. As for Halo, I'm a Die-hard Halo guy (and Halo 5 is siiiiiick), I've played all the OG classics although I started playing back in the Halo 3 days and I can also say that sniping in Halo is pretty much the same, because although that small lack of AA might prevent you from getting 100% headshots, it's still dead easy to hipfire given practice and does enough damage on the body that switching to a magnum and giving a small pop in the face is not hard either.
So no, Destiny sniping is not easy, and proof is that, if it were, there wouldn't be such a high demand for people to create tips & tricks videos on it. There are next to no vids on Shotgun tips in Destiny. Wonder why...
PS: My first sniper kill in BO3 was a no-scope as I'd just picked up an enemy sniper and the guy just turned the corner sprinting. I went on to get the last kill of the game as a two-for-one. Don't forget that CoD had no AA but it does have bullet magnetism, whereas Destiny does not.
