Anguish of Drystan is broken.
The Anguish of Drystan [u]aims upwards when firing[/u], in addition to the [u]abnormally high recoil[/u] (even with braced frame). This makes the gun hard to control AND makes the [u]aiming reticle incorrect[/u].
You literally can't see where you're aiming until AFTER shooting. It makes the gun unusable trash.

It's a slow firing AR. It's not powerful. It has a slower bodyshot and headshot TTK than a fast HC and requires more aiming skill, because the burst potential (a hidden "meta" stat) is terrible (though better than the other AR classes).
It has 81 stability with braced frame. It SHOULD have very low recoil. Instead it kicks like a mule
It shoots below the reticle. IT'S BROKEN. This is easily the worst part. The gun is so broken the recoil and low damage doesn't even matter. At least fix this part.

35 AntwortenI haven't got this gun yet but I have seen a lot of negative reviews. As you may have heard there is [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=14016]weapon changes coming[/url]. Give it a spin after the December update and if you still think it's under performing please let us know.

I usually infuse the ones I get. I got another one this week. Guess I'll wait and see how it is after the update. If it still sucks I'll just infuse it.

I use one on my Titan, not even half upgraded yet and it's a beast. Learn to control recoil. A little wiggle of the thumb stick counters it. Something that powerful should be hard to control.

This might be the most god awful unusable POS every made. I really think they were trolling players with this gun.

Yes it is I've tried to use it for a couple of hours although the status of the gun is high the stability on it doesn't make since. Because of it's stability it's one of the worst weapons in the game it shoots upward and to the side it's like trying to tame a wild horse all the time. I've infused mine.

5 AntwortenYeah its definitely one of the kost deceiving guns in the game! The gun should be pretty stable but its the complete opposite! I dont know why they made the raid guns so horrible except for the hmg!

1 AntwortenFor all those complaining about the stability being incorrect or bugged, that's only half of the story. Every weapon has a hidden recoil stat. Fortunately for us, Planet Destiny lists those stats since they were able to get them from the destiny servers. The reason Drystan is so bad is because the recoil was set to a whopping 85 out of 100. This is why it jumps left and right so much as well. For comparison, shadow Price, which is what this archtype is based on was only 64. Her Right Hand was 53. Super Good Advice has it at 80. So in short, Drystan has worse recoil than one of the worst machine guns in the game. It should be brought down to the 60s to be in line with the other guns in that category. Also, with that in mind, this isn't a bug. It's just poor design.

I infused mine into something, in the same way that I always infuse the raid fusion rifles, because they're unusable trash as well.

Honestly, I've never really had an issue with that gun after I put Braced Frame on. I used to use it quite often for PvP and it kills very quickly when you get used to the range and recoil pattern. It just takes practice.

A raid legendary weapon that's not even as good as a green auto rifle. Anguish of Drystan? More like Oryx's Last Laugh.

Infuse!!! -
My problem is not with the upward recoil (although yes the bullets hit lower than where you aim)-- it's with how much sideways movement you get. Upward recoil is predictable and controllable, but when the gun just twitches side to side randomly the way the Anguish of Drystan does, it's pretty much useless. I'd rather take my 170 Atheon's Epilogue into the raid. I could probably kill enemies faster with that.
