Right I'm gonna let off some steam here.. But before I start I'm say a few things. YES, I'm a Titan. YES, I am a Sunbreaker (I don't intend to change anytime soon) in my person opinion do I think it's an OP subclass...? NO!!!
I'm tired of people saying we are.? Because sooner or later we're going to get nerfed because people can't handle Titans actually having a good super that grants them the ability to be what they are supposed to be, the tanks of destiny. I hear it on YouTube and the forums, it's driving me crazy, we're not that OP I've been killed in my super plenty of times.
But before I get moaned at by all you warlocks and hunters I'm gonna say a few things. Us Titans have had to deal with your shit since day one. Let's be honest before year 2 we had basically terrible supers, we couldn't move anywhere with them and netted maybe four kills with FOH if we were extremely lucky and don't get me started on defender for PVP. Hunters were the King of PVP for a long time, now you guys are all mad because now is Titans are challenging your top spot? And you warlocks, you can come back from the dead and have a melee with a range the size of shaquille o'neal.
Yes we have cauterize which returns our health when we get a kill with fire? So what? Bladedancer? Hungering blade sound familiar?
Yes we have more armour in a super? What the -blam!- do you expect from a class literally named "Titan"
I respect that people think it's OP, and I will admit sometimes it is, but it's that word "sometimes" it's like all supers inconsistent, one day it's amazing the next it's not. Trust me as a Titan I know, it's just I know the community, people only remember us when they see the how good the subclass can be. They don't see what we see as Titan, you don't see the wasted supers, the instant shut downs because they aren't what you remember, you remember us when we kill you and it sucks because that's why people complain.
Look, bottom line is I love destiny, I'm a day one player. I don't mean to offend anyone by writing this post I'm sorry if I have, hell this is my first time writing on the forums that'd be a bad way to start hah. I've played all classes it's just the Titan is mine, it's how I play. I'm just a player who doesn't want to see his subclass get nerfed because it's getting hate from all the people that don't play Titan (which lets be honest is most of the community) I'm just tired in general with every nerf, its just silly sometimes it really is. I love my super I really do... I just don't want to see it go the way of shotguns because people hate on it so much.
But look, if you've made it this far I'd love to know what you thinks on the topic? Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion, I'd like to hear what others think on this. Thank you for reading.

Even when it's nerfed we still have armamentarium coming back, shotgun nerf (shoulder charge becomes more deadly), mida (more agility for titan plus shoulder charge rush), and peregrine greaves. They're just going to complain about double grenades and shoulder charge next.

I swapped from my gunslinger to sunbreaker in banner, and with the same exact weapons i started averaging 5-10 more kills a game with no effort at all. Not to mention being down 10 - 30 light depending on the match. Hammer needs adjustment.
-
I don't know what kind of games you all have played, but in every other game I've played, the tanks deal the least damage, but can take the most. Here, they get both. That's not exactly right.

I agree I think sunbreakers are just fine the way they are. But the reason why people think it's OP beside the fact that it can OHK any super with one hammer etc. and I think most people agree with this: it's damage resistance. That is literally it I mean Bungie screwed up a little bit with it but if they reduce it to the point where a high impact sniper or one GG shot kills it then most people will be pretty happy (I hope for RNGesus' sake)

1 AntwortenOk people Hammer of Sol 101: 1) When you hear *Clang* Run like hell until you can determine if it is friendly or not 2) If you can get a couple of shots on a distracted Titan and his doesn't regenerate after killing your team mate.........-blam!- him up. 3) If the world is burning..........-blam!- him up, super will not last long just avoid the flames 4) Big open spaces are the best, time your jumps, avoid the explosions then turn, point and kill 5) If you know that there are multiple HoS stards on the opposing team, try not to feed them kills as it will just encourage the others picking up your orb 6) Anything that you can run around clockwise/counterclockwise for cover is an annoyance as not all hammers track depending on perks selected 7) Again if you hear a *Clang* vacate the area, it does not last forever so stay away from the red on your radar Striker Titan out :)

The problem is there is no readily easy way to kill a hammer of sol user. All hunter supers can be shut down via a sniper or shotgun. Same with warlocks. Titans are a bit different. A fist of havoc user can't be killed easily. But the off set here is that they 100% commit to their usage and are fairly open to attack right after their super. So it's fine. Then you have defenders. which have a bubble that blocks all forms of gunfire. And they can even be tanky while inside the bubble. But they are limited to one area in order to have that advantage. Sunbreakers have an above average kill potential and an above average defense. and they are mobile. The only downside to a sunbreaker right now is its sub optimal neutral game. It's almost balanced but it needs a bit more done to it to be fair. So since it's a roaming super the survivability needs to take a hit in some way. My 2 suggestions are as follows: A) we allow them to be sniped by 31+ impact snipers/OHK by golden gun. I could see how you might complain here. because you could easily be sniped due to how your jumping works. In that case I would suggest a gear trade off. an exotic armor piece that lets you either dodge (like how storm callers can blink in their super) or an exotic piece that lets you be tankier. Since twilight garrison is being released in december I find this to be an acceptable trade off. B) we change how cautorize works. Currently it's a better form of hungering blade. Hungering triggers on melee or super kills. cautorize triggers on melee, nade, and super kills. Hungering only starts health regen. cautorize gives an immediate chunk of health back AND triggers regen. For the sake of keeping the perk unique I suggest we remove the regen ability. and only let it give back chunks of health. Either change would not kill the surviability in pve. and in pvp it would still be strong. But allowing for skilled players to kill you instantly or groups of players to stand a better chance without horribly gutting the class. I used to defend the sunbreaker. I have 2-3 threads dedicating to it and said counters and tests. So don't go slamming me as a random hater. Now i'm a hunter main. But here are 2 clips from my own collection that i've gotten with the sunbreaker. frankly no other class could pull this stuff off as easily or consistently. https://account.xbox.com/en-us/gameclip/0e61c1e9-0198-4781-8420-155eb05e5b04?gamerTag=Knight%20Raime&scid=37770100-f9ae-4b80-9dad-7c1d0ec14469 https://account.xbox.com/en-us/gameclip/c8479b3f-cd4e-471b-8c5d-7afcc8da1b3e?gamerTag=Knight%20Raime&scid=37770100-f9ae-4b80-9dad-7c1d0ec14469

I main a hunter and sometimes play as my Titan and warlock but I will say I don't feel it's over powered at its current state

11 Antworten2 things bother me about the sunbreaker. 1. Golden gun can't one shot it. 2. I can't 1 shot it in the head with a high impact sniper. Other than that it's not OP.
-
13 Antworten1. You're a Sunbreaker. As are so many other people in the Crucible. Barely coincidence. 2. I like how you Titans always play the "tank" card. Know what a tank in an RPG does? It soaks up damage. It doesn't drop nuclear bombs every second. 3. So, two wrongs make a right? The Bladedancer being OP for so long justifies the Titan to be OP now? Next year, Warlocks? Next month, Khostov? *sigh* People back in the days tried to argue the same rubbish... "Oh, no, Suros Regime is not OP, just get in close with a shotgun!" "Vex Mythoclast should be OP, becausee it's so hard to get! Had to push Atheon TWO times!" "Bladedancers can be shut down with Fist of Havoc or Nova Bomb or shotguns! Okay, same goes for any super, and Dancers can wipe your whole team if not shut down, unlike the other supers, but we're absolutely not OP, we justlike the flavor of that class, that's why we stick to it!" [Note: Where them Hunters at now?] "Thorn is balanced! Suros Regime and Red Death can negate it and you have to aim! Whaddaya mean, half of all kills in trials are made with that gun?" People will always defend their overpowered weapons and/or classes, as they want to achieve the highest scores with the least effort. These days, it's not about enjoying the fight, but rather "OMG, look at my 3.8 K/D with 70% shotgun kills! Skillz for dayyyz!". If you enjoy your subclass, then why do you fear a nerf? It will still be a Sunbreaker afterwards, no mechanic is being changed, just a few numbers. You still got hammers, you still got big armor, you still got your guns. To me, you look like you're using that subclass more as a crutch rather than enjoying the game with its given playstyle.

I was Titan year one, kept with it to year 2, got him to light 307 then stopped realizing that I wanted to try a new character; as an avid Titan user, the sunbreaker is a bit overpowered
-
Yeah what I got wasn't we're not op it was wah I didn't have an easy button for a year I deserve this wah
-
The people that think sunbreakers are op are those who are bad at pvp and aren't smart enough or able enough to kill one. It's not hard, you just needs smarts and something many people lack, a bit of skill.
-
Sunbreakers are op af.
-
Yeah we're op. Sue me...
-
7 words. Weapons of light and high impact snipers.
-
9 AntwortenNot really. Sunbreakers do have one of the worst neutral games, but have arguably the best super which i would say is balanced. However i do believe HoS damage resistance should be put to 50% like other supers
-
3 AntwortenYes we are op. Enjoy it.
-
Hammer of Crutch Titan whining about how they can't be OP because they have a buffed Bladedancer/Goldgun hybrid. Typical.
-
I only pkay Titan. My character is my character. And the hammers feel amazing. But I agree with OP, my super is 50% useless and 50% awesome. That seems like pretty good odds.
-
A little bit. But just in PvP.
-
In some situations I think we are.
-
4 AntwortenNope. If they nerf sunbreaker we'll be back to 1 decent super and 1 useless pvp super.
-
The super is anyway, yeah. Give cauterize a 3 second delay and make us move at 75% of our normal movement speed to balance out the armor buff
-
2 AntwortenThank you, a titan like me who from day one has had to endure getting shat on in year one
-
I'm glad we have somthing good. Year one warlocks were clearly the best. Their Nova bomb and melee pissed me off real bad. I think we deserve it
