What the weekly update should have said

The REAL Weekly Update Hello, Guardians! This week, we bring you a real update. Real meaning, we actually listened to your feedback. Deej and Cozmo have been trolling the forums, and are currently under a bridge somewhere debating the best movie of the week. But they gave us great input on what you, the players, actually want. We've heard your complaints, we know what you want changed, and we've taken action. No longer will we be a company that bites the hands that feed us. Here's the changes coming soon. Nightfall rewards are now a minimum 300 light, maximum 320. 12 strange coins added as a 100% drop separate from the item reward. Kings Fall bosses now have a 100% chance to drop a raid item and moldering shards. Hard mode KF drops are now 310 minimum. No more getting normal rewards in hard mode! If you want the Normal mode drops, go play normal mode! Moldering shards removed from Oryx's loot table. This means you will never get moldering shards back as a reward for having 20 moldering shards. Only the helmet and primary weapons will drop from Oryx. No more getting boots for the 4th time when all you wanted was the helmet and a gun! All runes no longer drop from KF bosses. What? You want elemental primaries? But we want weapon diversity! We compromised. Added a new item that can be applied to a primary weapon of legendary or greater quality that applies an arc, solar, or void damage type. These items drop from Oryx on hard mode, and from the lighthouse. Hand cannons accuracy restored to pre TTK levels. Damage fall off remains the same. ALL strikes have been added to the strike playlists! Matchmaking for Nightfall and Normal mode versions of the raid. Etheric light now upgrades a Y1 legendary or exotic to Y2 at 190 attack or armor. Break out your old favorites! Reforging weapons AND armor has been restored, is available from the gunsmith for weapon / armor parts and glimmer. Hard mode versions of VoG, CE, and PoE incoming in December! [b]Edit[/b] Thanks for the bumps and replies, even if you disagree. Some thoughts and clarification: The intent for Y1 into Y2 with etheric light is for the item to be "upgraded" to Y2 status, allowing it to then be infused up to whatever light level you can get it to. Matchmaking for Normal raids and Nightfall would be optional. So chill out, if you don't want to use matchmaking, then don't. Yes, keep the mechanics of existing VoG, CE, and PoE exactly the same. Just raise the numbers. The mechanics are fine (with the exception of a few bugs here and there). Rewards are 300-310 for normal modes, and 310-320 for Hard mode. Y2 versions of weapons drop from bosses. Same stats, but Y2 ready to infuse. Reforging seems to be a contentious topic, but I think it adds to the fun of the game. [b]Just fyi, all of these ideas came from just reading the forums. They are common topics and desires of the community. Just condensed into one, and minus the "nerf" outcries. Let's face it, most of the community would rather have content added than see nerfs.[/b]
