So etheric light is useless now. What about a way to keep it rare and useful, while solving the problem of year one gear? What if etheric light can be used to upgrade year one gear to year two? I have a couple methods on how this could work Method 1 Keep etheric light as a Poe reward and allow it to raise the level of year one gear (armor and weapons) by [b]one tier[/b] (so like 170-180) and getting to ttk Max (290-310 or whatever it is) would require 3-5 e light. that way you can keep your year one gear relevant, it will just take a lot of extra work. More so than just buying a piece of new gear Method 2* Take out etheric light from the game all together and turn it into a year one "thanks" item. In this method, since you can't attain any more light, it would raise the level of one piece of year one gear to middle tier ( 280) that way you can continue to enjoy your weapons and finding armor isn't such a hassle because you have decent armor but ultimately you'll have to get better taken king armor if you want to Max out. *note with this method there are people who have a ton of e light so it would be limited to 10 items per character Max (30 e light total) and the rest could just go to xp when you dismantle them What do you guys think?
