Scout rifles in PVP SUCK!
Title says it all. Scout rifles are completely ineffective in PVP. The TTK is simply too long. There needs to be some sort of scout that will compete at med to long distance with pulse rifles.
On a second note. Is it just me, or do all of the year two primaries suck in pvp?
Ok, since this got quite a bit of attention, please allow me to update this a bit.
1. Yes I have the tlaloc. Yes it is good, when you have your super and when your running your warlock. Outside if that, pulse rifles will own you. Just look at the time to kill numbers, given both players are equally matched.
2. The touch of malice just doesn't do anything for me in pvp. There are basically two places to use that weapon, pvp isn't one of them.
3. The Hung jury. Yep, got that one too. It's decent, but again, with equally matched players, the pulse rifle will own you.
4. I recently got a trials scout. Mine didn't drop with any good perks, so I'm still in decided on that one at the time being.
5. I also just picked up the suros 43 as well as the suros 47. I haven't had time to work with either one of them yet.
6. I have also had a few treads upon stars drop for me, but again, nothing with a good roll yet. Still put on that one as well, until a good roll comes my way.
One last thing I would like to touch on. I am an avid pulse rifle user and do fairly well with nerwins mercy. Although it will never be equal to the year one hopscotch, it's still pretty decent. I would just like to be able to run a different primary now and then, and have the same success as I do with the pulses.
So with that said, I'm still looking for good advice on scouts for pvp.
Almost forgot one last thing. Year two scouts is the main topic here. I know the mida was great and still is in regular matches. I'd like to discuss current options that would be effective in trials.

Use year one stuff it doesnt matter unless you're doing trials or iron banner then it does

Bearbeitet von WhitEWatchEs: 11/5/2015 1:33:02 AMUse the MIDA...that gun is amazing. They NEED to bring that into year 2. If you have a warlock, use the Tlaloc from gunsmith rank 3 and run sunsinger. It's such a amazing weapon I need to get my warlock to rank 3 after playing on a buddies account.

4 AntwortenI personally think the hung jury tlaoc and believe it or not but Boolean jemini r very good scout rifles for pvp but I will say that we need more options other than those scouts for pvp and auto's need a bigger buff also i still don't mind the pulse rifle tho

Bearbeitet von Benzene21: 11/5/2015 1:24:34 AMfirst, you really need to be good with a scout. Scout rifles are one of the few weapons in this game that actually take skills to use. Of course, there are exceptions since you can also have OP scout rifles like jade rabbit. Still, even when you are good with it, you are still at a disadvantage because pulse rifles and hawkmoon are OP and not balanced at all. These weapons are not supposed to outgun a scout at long range, but they do. This is one of the problems with this game's PvP. Despite all that, you can have success with one. I use the hung jury and I am pretty good with it. Good perks for scout rifles in PvP are stability and range perks. Stability is very important since you want most shots to be headshots when you use a scout, given that scout rifles TTK without headshots is pretty bad. Lastly, this goes without saying, but keep your distance when using a scout. It's highly unlikely you win a gun fight at close range with a scout, unless that other person is also using a scout.

On big maps like bastion, and first light they wreck tho...just gotta have that range. Ain't gonna do much close to mid.

They're not that bad, but the meta is pulse rifles right now because they have the fastest TTKs in the game currently. I just came back from halo 5 because I was tired of the terrible amounts of teamfire and grenade spam. Trust me no matter how many things you hate about destiny PvP it's more enjoyable than halo multi-player if you're not a sweaty tryhard 99% of the time.

I have a Last Extremity with Triple Tap, Hand-laid Stock, and Grenadier. It's a high impact type and I use it a lot on my Hunter. Just need to keep your distance.

Won my flawless with my hung jury and my snipe yea it's a 100 yard by so is everyone else's ! Lmao but still scouts are great for the follow up if u kiss a headshot

4 AntwortenTwo words: Inward Lamp. The gun is phenomenal. Its a full auto scout rifle dropped from Trials of Osiris. Its impact is great too but the fire rate is amazing. I got mine to 315 and it absolutely wrecks in PvE and PvP.

I personally think scouts are absolutely perfect. Before my Nirwens dropped in IB I was using tlaloc and it was awesome. And the vendor roll on hung jury is godly in pvp. Oh and since lvl doesn't matter in crucible there's always mida multi tool, amazing. Scouts are all about precision, if you are landing crits the TTK is really fast. I love scouts

The biggest issue with scouts is the current meta; pulse does too much damage at too much range which puts scouts to a longer range to be effective, but then you're looking at sniper range. There is no effective range for scouts, because snipers or pulse rifle users will beat you 9/10. Pulse rifles are next to be hit with the nerf hammer, and hopefully only a slight range drop off cause that's all it needs.

1 AntwortenI think you misspelled hand cannons lol. Tlaloc rocks the house in PvP. When I did the crucible quest, I thought 6+ kills with 3 wins using scout rifle was going to be hard. I crushed it quick with VoC. the hand cannon one was painful though.
