So before we analyze the subclass, there are 5 major factors that could change our mind and make us pick a different class.
- Grenades
- Melee
- Extra perks
- Mobility
- Super
Lets look at each of these perks and see where they line up when compared to other classes in PvP
[b]Grenades[/b]
After 2.0 patch, high impact grenade (fusion, tripmine, flux or magnetic) are in a very good spot along with bolt grenades as they are all easy to use.I have not listed the incendiary grenade here as although just as lethal it requires practice to master.
Result : top tier grenade.
[b]Melee[/b]
There are two factors too melee range and damage, range is a big problem on titan melees, for the sunbreaker it gets interesting since sunbreakers get really interesting melee, a Sunbreaker configure with thermal vent causes 201 damage so although the range is lacking it can one hit kill.
I definitely wouldn't say its the best melee as i consider range to be better than damage, but its certainly considerable now.
Result: Competitive Melee
[b]Extra Perk[/b]
- Cauterize (Fire ability regenerates health, this perk actually takes the hammer of sol grenade up to a really cosy first place).
- Explosive Pire (Hammer chain to nearest target)
Result : Extra perk is quite similar to other classes perk.
[b]Mobility[/b]
Titan if used well, is actually the fastest class in the game. I still consider blink to be an even better jump since of the invisible frames.
Result : I would say it falls second in mobility after blink.
So as we can see without supers classes seem pretty well balanced out but then...
[b]Super[/b]
And this is where it becomes a problem, the super is Overpowered.
- Highest damage resistance
- Ranged super
- Splash damage super
- Recovers health on kill
- 5-7 Ammo
- Chains to nearby ally.
I fail to see how even a highly skilled player could consistently beat the Sunbreaker, the damage resistance is much to high. The fact that it can take a golden gun shot, or a high impact sniper shot is insane. Nobody should live to tell the tale of the time they took a 1000 yard stare to the face and clean up an entire team instantly.

34 AntwortenYou're leaving out a lot in your Extra Perks description. As in how titans don't actually have extra perks. All their perks are tied into cooldown abilities. They have no passive skills whatsoever, unlike gunslinger with Chain of Woe and Gunslingers Trance. Also, there is a number of supers that allow for health regen, and provide splash damage, not just the hammer. Also, not sure what you mean by chaining the Super to allies. Also, the Voidwalker class is basically identical to Sunbreaker, but no one complains. Energy Drain can be set up to proc after every ability, same as Cauterize. Why has no one complained about the Warlocks for an entire year, but titans are getting bashed for having the exact same skill set.
