I'm just happy there's a shotgun that actually requires some skill to use effectively. Its refreshing.

Before I got it I pictured it being effective at a longer range than your average shotgun seeing as it shoots one precision slug, but the range is pitiful. I realize destiny isn't a realistic game, but a slug from a 12 gauge doesn't slow down that fast. A head shot at 30 ft should still be a one hit kill. Drop the ROF a bit and add a decent amount of range and it would be an amazing gun. Edit : I may have spoke to soon. Just used it on the crucible and it's pretty damn good as is

It's a skill weapon. You're rewarded for headshots and punished for anything else. If you get consistent headshots, which some people will, it's definitely among the best shotguns, if not the best. It's a good gun that not everybody will be able to use, simple as that. Or I suppose you'd rather everybody use op cookie cutter guns, instead of interesting skilled ones?

I don't think the gun flip has ever hindered my performance with the last word or anyone else's. You're just looking for something to complain about

It has more killing potential then any other shotgun if you land headshots, it's just not a no brainer :)

Personally, I think it's awesome and a lot of fun to use. I've also noticed that it has far better range than most, if not all, year 2 shotguns. Because of this, I think it will shine during ib and ToO Don't know if that means it will take up my exotic, but that is my theory for now. Also, I read through a lot of your replies. You shouldn't be so rude to people who are just giving their opinions, and you should just ignore the dicks. Sinking to their level takes away your credibility

Are you serious?? The range on it is killer to me. I've never had the felwinters but I like it more than my matador with shot package.

The animation is the best part. Especially when you reload and it makes that whip crack.

Bearbeitet von Erijian: 9/30/2015 5:25:54 AMThe Chaperone in general is a poor weapon when compared to other Shotguns. Is it a bad gun? No, but there's really no point in using it while Felwinter's/Matador are still usable in PvP, and its PvE damage output is just disappointing.

4 AntwortenIt sucked in pve too. It was doing 5500 crit while my scout was doing 3500 crit, and I had to be very close and of course it has a slower rate of fire, less ammo and a way slower reload speed. It needs to do way more, like 15000

Chaperone isn't a High skill-High reward weapon, it's more of a High skill-Average reward weapon. That makes it worse than Felwinter's or Matador, which require much lower skill but have similiar OHK range. Is it a bad weapon? No it's not. But it's not godly in the right hands, it's simply decent. The other top tier shotguns on the other hand, are pretty decent even in the wrong hands.
