[b]Hello Guardians! [/b] [u]As we all know, Title Update 2.0 has been released as of September 8th 2015. With this, there have been some changes with the leveling system and how we increase our character power.[/u] *Update* This only applies to the year 1 leveling system. To begin, we are now able to level up from 1-34 by Experience (XP) - I will refer to this level as your "raw level" And we are able to level up our light level by finding and equipping new and better gear - I will refer to this as your "power level" As of September 8th 2015 people have been able to rapidly increase their raw level from 1-34 in a matter of a few days, however, your raw level does not dictate how powerful your character is, your power level does this. [b]Example:[/b] - We are now able to see raw level 34's with a power level that equals what a... (level 30), for example would have. This means that some people are ranking up "too fast". Because of this your raw level doesn't actually mean too much, your power level is what dictates what types of activities you are able to complete (Raids, Nightfalls, Prison of Elders). Because of all these changes, I have created a simple calculator to determine your "True Level". [b]How do you calculate your True Level?[/b] The True Level system is based off of the number 5. Since Update 2.0 the max light level is 170. A power level 170 guardian is considered a True Level 34. If you have 5 less than 170 you have 165, 165 is also a True Level 34, but as soon as you drop to power level 164, you are now a True Level 33. [b]More examples:[/b] If your power level is between 1-5 you are a True Level 1 If your power level is 25 you are a True Level 5 If your power level is 150 you are a True Level 30 [b]How to calculate yourself:[/b] 1. Take your power level (mine is 170) 2. Divide your power level by however many raw levels there are (34) 3. You get 5 4. Every 5 power levels is a True Level [u][b]Questions?
