You know. I'm a 35 year old gamer and I started playing Halo CE back in November 2001. The reason Bungie is what it is as a company today is due to gamers like myself.
so I believe my opinion holds merit by saying Bungie, as a company, are nothing but filthy sell outs.
What platform gave Bungie its success. THE XBOX. And yet. What platform does Bungie cater to the most with Destiny. PLAYSTATION.
This exclusive map, weapon, armor made only for the PLAYSTATION really rubs me the wrong way as an Xbox one owner. Especially considering Bungie made their bones on the Xbox platform.
Way to screw long time fans over Bungie. Your entire company is full of overpaid, overweight, under skilled DOUCHEBAGS

As an investor in Activision Im glad Sony made the deal that they did. Im sorry you feel that way, but in the grand design one person doesnt make a difference. If the entire community were to feel this way & voice that concern with their money by not buying the product then I'll probably listen harder and make the necessary changes. Until then I'll just keep my record profits & continue to milk this cow until she is bone dry! Have fun killing Oryx! Hopefully you do it more than once because it makes me rich😄

Bungie has always been switching machines.

So, did Microsoft not pay for halo to be an exclusive? I'm pretty sure that if you dig, you will find that they did. So I would say that made Bungie sell outs to Microsoft long before destiny. It's called business, learn it.
-
Agreed. All you idiots "hurr durr Sony paid more for content blah blah" No shit. That's what selling out is.
-
what you fail to realize is, someone will either buy their games, or not. sell out or not. you are a consumer, they are a provider. its business, was always business, will always be business. no amtter what is said or promised ro not promised. at the end of the day... its all about the benjamins

2 AntwortenWho gave bungie there big break gamers with the help of Microsoft, who took there legacy away after they did not want to ruin the game by rehashing the story and gave it to 365 Microsoft, who would want to support Microsoft after that .... Not me ... I switched to PS4

Who cries about Shiite exclusives? Now tell me that
-
Your response is why Sony paid for the exclusives. Clearly money well spent.

As much as I prefer playing on Xbox mostly because of friends I talk to through Xbox, I'm tired to people complaining about Bungie siding with Playstation for Destiny content. Sure I don't like the exclusive content being on Playstation for over a year, but that's what throwing money at the screen (in Playstation's case Bungie and Activision) gets you.

Im an Xbox Player, When bungie handed off Halo to 343, they fell out from under Xboxes control, As Microsoft had bought into the Halo Franchise and was exclusive only to Xbox. So they created a new game, Destiny. Sony was all happy that they could dip into the same developer that made the ever famous Halo series. Xbox wanted some action as well and since Xbox was still a little perturbed that Bungie who while Xbox did not give them their start, still made them famous, Sold out to Sony, Xbox wasn't gonna help them out to much. so while Sony was paying Bungie for the few extra amenities that warrented all of this confusion. Xbox didn't feel the need to buy into crap and saved all of us Xbox players of having to go through those terrible strikes and good for nothing weaponry( save for the Hawkmoon, that we get in its 2.0 nerfed version and not get to experience the full released version) Im actually glad that Xbox did not have to con its players into buying Destiny as those that stayed with the Xbox company are the loyal followers that they want and not those that will jump ship for a few bits of measly data.
What game Gave Xbox success. HALO
FIXED also, it's called business. If your job was giving you 500,000 dollars a year( just an example dont nitpick the price) and you could do the same Job for another company for a million, you would fûcking do it wouldn't you?

Ok so I'm a 40 year old gamer and bungie actually started making games for the much needed apple platform way before Microsoft bought them. Back in the day all the mac community was all up at arms due to the enemy ms buyout. Back at 99 they were showing this sweet little fps for Mac and then all the sudden the one game mac users had to look forward too was coming to Xbox. Being 35 I would think you'd have the knowledge to realize it's all about money. Activision / Sony made them an offer ms wouldn't. To top it all off sorry Sony users but the two strikes you got for the past year kinda suck anyways so who cares. At least we still have bungie around making games we've lost enough devs over the past few years anything to keep the games coming.

Xbox gets Halo, one of the best FPS series' of all time. Playstation gets a couple of exclusives that Xbox is gonna get eventually. Yet people cry that the XBOX is the one getting the worse deal.

3 AntwortenSo you're upset that they made a separate franchise from Halo and another company paid extra for more man hours to make the extra content? It's time exclusives too so it's not like you're barred from it forever. They're a company, not some indie rock band. More money means a bigger budget for future Destiny projects. Would you be upset if they gave out codes with Pepsi next? Or does Red Bull need that exclusivity?

Go PSN!!

This is Destiny not Halo

Activision caters to Sony for money. Money Microsoft wouldn't pay.
-
I'm not one to comment on these things, in fact, I will begin muting people for this stuff soon.. But what people miss is this, A company needs money to pay its way, to pay employees, so they can cater to feeding their families, they need that money to even make content. An exclusivity deal is a common, yes, unfavoured process, but its a process that helps out that company in the long run. I know in my heart if a company said they'd pay you an extra 100,000 to make 1 extra map, gun model and Armour models you'd take it, but then again. Microsoft already does that, yes its only month long contracts, but you have a 1 month exclusivity deal on call of duty DLC meaning YOU get the extra map, YOU get the extra guns early. And I am sure in my bones, Call of Duty is more popular on PlayStation. its extra money to make a game better, but a process that is unfavorable. it's as simple as that, as a 35 year old, I'd expect something better from my elders, than this hissy fit.

I think most of the exclusive stuff is due to Activision

we still have halo.
