The video is kind of long, but what basically happened is that a group of Titans would pop their bubble shields in rapid succession, on top of each other. Also allowing their team mates to gain their supers in rapid succession.
I do not know if this is cheating by Bungies "terms and conditions", but it definitely made the game feel unfair.
If this is a violation of Bungies terms please instruct me on how to report. Their PSN ids and clan name can be found at the end of the video.

It's not like Defender titan is good for anything else in Crucible other than Weapons of Llight/Efrideets Spear combo

It's exploiting the way the orb system works, but it isn't cheating. It's incredibly lame though. I've run into it once, and I just left. Something everyone should do when they run into it.
-
No. They are using cheap tactics but they are not cheating
-
3 AntwortenIt's not cheating. It's just a cheap tactic players with no skill use. Just like using shotguns. Bungie's too stupid to know how to fix it. All they have to do is remove the orbs from generating when the bubble spawns and make the orbs generate when the Titan kills people just like all the other supers do.

1 AntwortenNope. Just a really good strategy.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von eternal_napalm: 9/8/2015 1:50:45 AMMe and my clan beat another clan that was doing that last night. We teabagged all of them. Got hilarious hate mail, too! :P

3 AntwortenLmfao no it's not cheating it's called h aveing a game plan and useing teamwork
-
11 AntwortenNope. It's called strategy, something ramlocks and huntards can't do.
-
It's just a pansy way of playing the game. People don't like to play with straight kill anymore. Everything is a shortcut
-
Bearbeitet von Sinnovart: 9/8/2015 12:41:15 AMNot cheating, but it's annoying. However, it's really easy to ruin their day.

Bearbeitet von Noctroglyph: 9/7/2015 11:59:01 PMNo. That is just plain smart gameplay that really only works against new players. Vets know that they will eventually run out of orbs if you don't give them kills, and just avoid the stacked bubbles and play in another area/cap another objective.
-
Nope it's not cheating buddy. They tried to use legitimate tactics. As the other posters have already said. Those tactics can easily be countered. I'm a titan myself and I get great satisfaction charging into a buble for a shotty kill or fisting my way though a bubble will also negate it.
-
1 AntwortenIf there wasn't a way for each class to beat this strategy, then it would be cheating. Enter Fist of Havoc, Nova Bomb, and blade dancer. Strategy denied.
-
Lol no. It's not. They're just playing with the current standard build of the game. Only way for this to change is to change how long the bubble lasts and how many orbs drop upon each use.

This is one of the cases where balancing issues become obvious to the player. Its not cheating, but it highlights how hard it is to balance powers and abilities in a multiplayer game. Too moderate and abilities become boring or useless, too powerful and it becomes abuse prone and unfair. Its near impossible to know all use cases for player powers/abilities during development to prevent tactics such as the titan's bubble spam, especially when it might interact with other abilities and even armor combinations. If it becomes too prevalent it might be addressed by bungie but it not a new tactic so chances are low.

3 AntwortenThis is like asking if shotgun users are cheating. It's just a strategy. Cheap, maybe, but a strategy nonetheless
-
Just a game feature that has been taken advantage of is all #feedback

2 AntwortenI'd considering it borderline cheating. More disgraceful than anything Ran into a clan of Titans doing that in control. what fked them over was the fact they were only ever holding down point B with bubbles and waiting for people to run at them ( all 6 Titans) Got to the point where we'd just avoid going to B and just to ruin there day every once in awhile nova bombed or fist of havoced them for points they'd still go back to guard B which Made no sense.
-
11 AntwortenNope. That's just strategy.

7 AntwortenI would say that's playing smart, abuse of the system....but smart.
