Space combat in Destiny
Would be awesome, if we could have space combat in this game, to give our precious ships more meaning. I would be perfectly happy with something in the form of SWTOR.
SWTOR had daily bounties, which gave you items, which allowed to upgrade the ship speed, guns, rockets, targeting system, etc.
Missions: (just throwing out some ideas)
1. Escort an Awoken carrier to the reef while fallen or hive ships attack and try to destroy it.
2. Clear Cabal mine fields around Mars under attack of Cabal fighter jets and have secondary targets for bonus e.g. Vex destroyer on its way to Mars.
3. Dog fight mission through the Saturn rings full of floating huge space rocks.
4. Attack and destroy one of the enemies space station with dog fights all around.
All missions should have primary and secondary objectives. If primary is failed, mission fails. Secondary is bonus xp or items to further upgrade our ships.
Edit 1: it could also open the door to space combat pvp
Edit 2: missions must allow to play it solo or in fireteams of 2-3 players.

2 AntwortenThis should have been in the game. This game was mentioned way back in 2011 in Halo Reach, and that game had space fighting gameplay against banshees and phantoms and that unpopular covenant space jet.

Bump. They have the tech for it so it should be possible. But they cant do it like it bf4 or or else they have to lower the graphics. And the area must be small enough where the servers wont crash but big enough for multiple ships can still dog fight.

3 AntwortenSimply seeing the trailer for the Taken King has me wanting to fly dogfight missions. Besides, my ship's have always had cool weapon's on them.

2 AntwortenSWTOR is an awesome game in general but I agree it's space battles are fantastic. This would be very cool for Destiny to have.

1 AntwortenI absolutely loved the starting cod space mission... I thought finally it only took 4 versions of cod to get this! Everyone forgets about though because it was so short!
