So I look around and see a lot of flawless trials of Osiris emblems. Of course, out of curiosity I check out their stats and am amazed...because they have lower k/d's than me. I have an OVERALL k/d of 1.31 on my Hunter and an OVERALL k/d of 1.34 on my Warlock. I am yet to go flawless. However I see these guys with .8 or 1.1 k/d's and they have the flawless emblem. HOW?! Best I've done is 7-0 before losing. Obviously there are lag switchers but other than that I get matched against some teams that just slaughter us. Any tips? Anyone willing to let me run with their team?
I really appreciate all of the feedback. I guess I put too much emphasis on k/d. Yes I agree 100% that teamwork is a huge factor along with map awareness. I'm running IB all week if anyone wants to join up. I run through the IB bounties then switch to NLB to mix it up and for practice.
Lastly, I not looking to get carried. Not my thing. I am willing to join a couple of solid players who need a third to get a consistent weekly trials team. I am a good communicator with a ton of PvP experience so map awareness isn't an issue. Just need to find that solid teamwork.

2 AntwortenWell kd isn't everything but it means you should be able to win your one on one encounters. Make sure you and your teamates are doing that. Stick close. Unless you are putting in action some plan that requires someone to break off for flanking or whatever don't spread out too much revives are important. Which brings me to the next thing...revives are of the utmost importance. A team can have 2.0+ kds verses your teams sub 1 kds and you can still win ALL because of strategic revives. That's not to say get yourself killed or run from an encounter you've basically won for a revive but you get the idea. Also check out some you tube stuff on revive sniping and how to counter it. When you take an enemy down try to push onto that body if at all possible. If you can thrown grenades and keep them off of it while you push up you can turn the game into a permentant 3v2 and often 3v1 because someone was waiting to revive where you all just threw a boat load of grenades. Speaking of grenades use them wisely. Use them to finish off enemies in cover, block off one enemies path while you engage another or get the revive. Supers....supers suck sometimes. Sometimes there isn't a lot you can do. Just learn to lay attention to the amount of kills they have gotten and amount of time your opponents have been alive. For blade dancers if you're in an openish area you can try to team shoot. That is everyone fires on him in unison. Golden gun.. Unless you have a very good sniper who has a good angle on him I'd say run and hide. FoH is unfortunately very hard to deal with. Don't stay too grouped up so he can't get all 3 of you. Also if you play crucible you probably know that overconfident charge titans and warlocks do before they super. Remember it. Self res...is trash period. Sunsinger is much more effective as an offensive super using radiant skin. Be ready for self res though. Teamfire, high impact sniper to the head, shotgun+punch will all put them right back down. Just don't stand so close those firebolts will hit all of you at once. Remember to check out the roster when you are flying in. See what weapons you are against and what armor your opponents are wearing. Finally know when to hold them and know when to fold them. Sometimes playing for overtime is your best bet so know where the zone is and have a plan for when your opponents come after it. Strategy>everything when it comes to trials 99.99% of the time.

It's not luck!!! Work on communication and team work! I personally am not great at pvp but have an ok trials kd and can honestly say we have a good team with good chemistry, but have lost 2 teams of people who have terrible kds, Work together unless you have a very talented sniper who can flank, quick revive and Grenade orbs together, baby sit dead body's and talk!!! Everything!!!! Going left, on dead body, one mid weak, supered, when dead watch opposing team movements and what weapons their using , don't ask for res if it's dangerous. Good luck

1 AntwortenSome people play better under pressure, some people get carried, and some people like smaller team tactics. If you're on x1 I'll play with you and see what we can do
-
K/D doesn't matter nearly as much as people think. I can camp all day and get fantastic stats, but that doesn't mean my team will do well. Trials is all about playing well with them, not just alongside them. :P But, based on your edits, it sounds like you probably got that. X3

One word: carrying
-
What you're doing wrong is you have a .7 trials kd... Ouch.
-
I have seen this never fail. Have a good team of three snipers, nothing can be done. Especially on certain maps
-
If you're putting a team together, ask for people with a 1.3 K/D or higher, it guarantees that you will play with people of a good skill level. People can say K/D doesn't matter all they want, but somebody with a high K/D means that on average that they are getting more kills than deaths every life, which in a kill based game mode like trials is very important.

Same here man I usually help and go positive in elimination and get around 3.0 in doubles but can barely get a kill in a round of trials

I haven't gone flawless yet either dammit and I'm really starting to get… oh, I haven't played ToO. Nevermind, carry on.
-
Bearbeitet von basement: 7/31/2015 8:10:53 PMYou have 9 Trials kills on your Titan and 14 on your Warlock. And your hunter is negative? Unless you just mean K/D in general. Nvm. I can read.
-
My team had all above 2 kds in a game of trials and we ended up losing when the other team was completely negative kd, it's all about persistence
-
Teamwork
-
My overall kd is around yours but I have trouble with ToO for some reason. I have gone flawless there a couple times but I played more of a support roll getting revives and trying to assist with killing from a distance. Luckily I play it with a couple people who adjust to the pace easier than I do. I think I'm just to impatient for ToO.
-
Kd doesn't mean much in trials when theirs good teamwork
-
You have to play with people that know how you play and you know their playing style.. You need team chemistry to be successful. I've learned that using forums to go flawless is tough. I play with some buddies and we have gone flawless 5+ times together. It's more about team communication and chemistry than KD.

You're playing Trials of Osiris, that's what's wrong.

Idk if you've tried this yet, but buy the favor to start, mercy once you get to 5 wins, then boon at 7. That's the way I usually buy everything and it has always helped me out.
