Did it DESERVE the nerf? Yes. It was ridiculously OP. Much as I love a OP Gjally, it was too powerful. SHOULD it have been nerfed? No. The Gjallerhorn was a large part of this community. People who had it loved it. People who did not wanted it. It was a FUN gun to use in a game where very little is fun, BECAUSE it was OP. You note how Bungie nerfs thing people LIKE about the game? The Loot Cave. The Cheese. The Gjallerhorn. Game breaking bugs are left in. But anything that deviates from their path is nerfed. And yes, you can say these things should have been nerfed. And I agree. Any time someone can farm a cave to get good loot, that's not good game design. But the thing is it brought the community together in ways the rest of the game did not. And when it did... Bungie got rid of them. Nerfing the Gjally, more then even nerfing the loot cave and other things, sends a message: [i]We don't want you to have fun[/i]. We don't want you to do fun things. We are going to nerf the shit out of everything you love the money I MEAN MOMENT people love it. You will have fun OUR way or NO way. And that's a bad sign for the future whatever way you look at it.
