I can't help but think I'm using a weapon that's useless in PvE because otherwise it'd be a monster in PvP. As a PvE player, that's totally unfair and disappointing to have a worthless weapon, an exotic (primary) no less.
Given that it's a primary weapon, the range, magazine size, and reserve ammo should be doubled. If you have to make those changes PvE only, so be it.
The range isn't much better than other shotguns and you not only don't have to equip them in a primary slot, but you also don't waste your exotic using them. A 5 round magazine is ridiculously small for a primary weapon given how long it takes to reload the weapon (at least hand cannons with small magazines reload faster). Since it's the only primary shotgun, it only makes sense to give it a larger magazine than other shotguns. It needs at least 10.
I know everyone would cry in PvP, but right now you have a worthless exotic weapon with potentially easy fixes. And it's frustrating that the PvE experience gets hurt because of PvP.

2 AntwortenUniversal Remote is very well in PvE if you pair it with Vestian Dynasty because if you take down a shield with your remote but out of ammo in the mag, you can then switch to your dynasty and finish them.

I love using UR during dragon strikes. It's quite enjoyable to use.

I've hit 20,000 critical with it so...

This is embarrassing... Pvp is a part of the game too. Don't be a baby. Ruining pvp so you can have a niche weapon is the epitome of selfish.

One word to fix this gun and make it what it is supposed to be. Slugs. Still a shotgun but now it has the range and damage it should.
-
1 AntwortenHave you ever heard of "right tool for the job"? Well the universal remote is a PvP tool, not a PvE tool.
-
5 AntwortenIt literally just needs elemental damage. It's amazing regardless.
-
10 AntwortenIt needs: -a impact buff to match other shotguns with a similar rate of fire -a tighter pellet spread when ads -better barrel mods
-
It's really subpar in PvP, too.

1 AntwortenTry nlb you won't be complaining

1 AntwortenI think that Shot Package should be integrated into the exotic perk so that the precision damage bonus actually makes a difference. In addition, it should have the ablilty to toggle between all three elements, similar to Murmur. This way, the functionality of this weapon would actually live up to its name between its range versatility, elemental damage, and ability to use primary ammo. Unfortunately, Bungie will inevitably ignore productive posts such as this one, so I'm not expecting Universal Remote to change in the near future.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheSsus: 6/15/2015 12:59:37 AMI've suggested this previously and people seem to like the concept. It should shoot slugs while ADS and pellets while hipfiring. As for the animation, make it a sniper shot with a set distance at which the slug disappears. Plus give it the best range in class, its an exotic...

I think if they just applied Field scout it would be acceptable... (not sure its damage compared to other shots, but I say the DPS(econd) of NLB and UR should match other snipers and shotties...... (and I think it is terrible that UR is outraged by other shotties.... base range needs a "slight" improvement, and UR should have shot package... rather than the inverse of it)

Dismantle it!
-
It's exotic because it's a primary weapon that's what makes it exotic it's actually a really good weapon if you use it correctly look at its description and think about it

Oh I thought I applied to the original thread.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von notsleepin: 6/14/2015 4:55:20 AMThe range needs improvement based on the whole premise/description of the weapon but it's still a garbage shotgun compared to other exotics and all current rerollable shotguns due to shot package. The only good thing about it is that it bypasses the special ammo nerf in PvP due to being a primary, but if anyone sees you coming you are dead due to no range. It's a bummer that they don't evolve these weapons as the game changes since they are awesome in theory. The Remote always had a disappointing range after reading the description though.

Bump for buffing the UR

That would be good. I'm a shotgun user, so I like Universal remote as it is, but the range does feel a bit lacking for something claimed to have "the range of a precision rifle." It could have so much more to go for it.
