The Skolas fight is way to difficult, me not being a full time Destiny player and all. No checkpoints means I have to commit three to four hours and still I get nothing for the time I dumped into it. I don't have the desire to play Destiny anymore and PoE has killed my love for the game. I hope The Taken King gets me back into this game because right now I can't do the HoW content because of a lack of skill and a lack of time.

Bump- Bungie really messed things up again. His life don't even go down with two rockets. Plus the light switch makes things stupid hard. Bungie must hate their customers.

8 AntwortenThe Taken King is gonna do the exact opposite of save this game. Would YOU pay $40 just for a new raid and subclass? We payed $60 for Destiny. We got 3 planets and a moon. We don't even get 1 planet from this.

Bearbeitet von rinoas_angelo: 6/14/2015 5:53:34 AMI agree man, the whole PoE arena just sucks so much ass. I've beaten Skolas about 9 times I think, and I didn't enjoy a single one of those fights. I did it for the ciphers and now I have all 3 exotics and will never play Skolas again, ever. After 9 kills the only arena weapon I have received is an Auto rifle with Void damage and garbage, shit perks. Shank burn? Seriously? The drop rate is too low to be delivering such complete utter garbage. Thankfully the three exotic weapons are pretty good, once you get those you will never have to play the PoS arena ever again. Just play Vault of Glass and get the weapons from that raid, they're all better, every single one.

2 Antwortenor at least let us use tokens to "purchase" a checkpoint. that way unless you have the checkpoint token, you don's start at that point. i see why bungie did it, to keep the "ive killed atheon/crota, but i have NO IDEA about the rest of the raid" players from jumping to the check point. make each checkpoint a token per run, and after you have finished it, you lose all tokens so you can start again.

1 AntwortenThe fight is not that bad. Burn damage is a o e hit from Skolas just saty away. Rocket the crap out of him in the first minute of the figjt brale his bonds. Move to the little cave make sure you have a shotgun equiped so you can kill the Captains quick. Stay together so you can pass the poison from player to player at 10 or 8 seconds of killing the player. Try to keep moving in a circle. If you have a titan use the bubble for the rockets in the first minute. If you have hunters make sure they have invisibility so they can get the mines. This are some tips whant to see it done go to you tube.

4 AntwortenThey should add a checkpoint but, in a way it can't be abused.

Bearbeitet von Valdorakk: 6/13/2015 2:50:07 PMYeah, I was struggling on it last night. My teammate got frustrated and left. We recruited a guy from forums, but when we wiped to allow him entry, my other teammate got disconnected, and I wound up in the new guy's fire team in orbit. I understand why bungie doesn't have checkpoints in Poe, but good lord, losing 4 hours like that is beyond the pale.

1 AntwortenThey're going to "nerf it" soon. But it may take even longer. They're taking out the burns, reducing Skolas' health, making enemy spawns predictable (based on Skolas' health), and 'adjusting' the enemy spawns (hopefully reducing the lethality of their combinations). The current best stratagy requires using elemental snipers matching the burn to take him out before the fight gets hectic, but this "nerf" of Skolas is likely going to prevent this stratagy, even if they are toning it down in some areas. I find the bigger problem though is the lack of worthy loot. Those elemental primaries are sub par, and hard to get as is (between having to drop in the hardest fight in the game, with a low drop rate, and random elements)

2 AntwortenWell then you're going to hate it next week without a burn

I get you, bro - I spent over 4 hours the other day and we got to level 6 Skolas. only to give up all of us, frustrated at playing for nothing when we all got simply too tired at gone 2 am in the morning after too many failed events. To get good at something requires practice, but I am Fu*k!d if I am going to sit through THAT again. It's funny that the people who CAN pay the 80 quid or so for the digital download and all dlc and content are most likely the ones who suffer the most with these ridiculous marathons where at least one of the guys drops out cos the missus is fed up with having no tv for the whole evening! Bungie - give us a break! Or at least put an area in the towers where you can hang and it is OBVIOUS you need others for casual gaming.

1 AntwortenAt least you admit it's lack of skill and time. Everyone else claim its lack of Gjallarhorn, lack of Gjallarhorn, lack of Gjallarhorn, and lack of time.
