This article from Forbes nails what is currently wrong with the "Treasure Key" system in PoE in my opinion.

2 AntwortenThis weeks update, just posted, has a comment at the bottom that Bungie is aware of the Key issue, along with other issues. Looks like they are listening to us.

Deej; I just came to see if it was Paul who wrote this and yes it's him That's what Deej said on a past Forbes Destiny article

One other problem I have with Treasure Keys is the fact you need one for PoE level 35 just to get a class item, emblem and possibly a PoE ship. After downing Skolas last week for the first time, me and my fireteam were celebrating and when we got down to the treasure room, they were all excited for their new emblem, class item, etc whereas I didn't get jack squat since I didn't have a Treasure Key. I may as well have just done a PoE 28 again as that essentially was my loot. Since HoW launched, I've received 3-4 keys, (3 from the story missions). I've completed bounties and looted that Ether Chest without receiving a single key. It's stupid to me to require a key to get what is effectively loot for downing Skolas. It's like denying players from raid gear/weapons for beating Atheon or Crota. I'm debating whether to do 34/35 PoE now since without a Treasure Key, what's the point?

1 AntwortenThis article reenforces why I am just tired of Destiny and even more tired of Bungies games. I feel like I was fooled for a third time. Bungie is done in my book. Never again will I ever purchase ANYTHING that has Bungies name on it. The sad thing is, we allowed companies to get this way by buying into the hype. Never again.

1 Antworten
This article from Forbes nails what is currently wrong with the "Treasure Key" system in PoE in my opinion.
So an article that someone else wrote is your opinion? This is a new low for thinking for yourself.

2 AntwortenI saw this article too. I agree with pretty much all of it. The loot given by the keys are essentially worthless, given how rare the keys actually are, yet simply playing PVP (ToO) can yield much better reward. I'm a PVE player and no desire to play crucible, let alone fine 2 other friends that like PVP to go in with me.

Spot on. Hope they see it.

Bearbeitet von Speck311: 5/28/2015 11:04:39 PMBingo. Bumping for truth. I wasn't very excited to play a bunch of cheap tactic ToO games. I feel like I have to. Extremely lame and wondering wtf bungie was thinking with all this. Pvp sucks in this game. Trials doesn't suddenly make it legit competitive. The patch helped a little with cutting down on special needs ammo but I have still never played a game in my life with so many layers of noob handicaps. Gee I wonder how many thorns are in trials with camping snipers

100% right. Nobody on my team of three got a elemental primary for beatig skolas. (Makes me never even want to attenpt it again. Rewards from big chests ARE trash. Key farming IS retarded. (And on purpose to rack up bungies beloved " players time spent playing the game" statistics. And, i honestly have no desire or incentive to play poe ever again. This dlc sucks ass. You get to be a 34! And you! And you too! And ya. This games falling apart... We seriously need a new raid like vog. Pretty point blank period.

5 AntwortenForbes is a joke. They're supposed to be about business and finance but they post a dozen articles a day about Destiny. Listening to them talk about games is like listening to a fry cook from McDonalds talk about cars. Nobody cares.

4 AntwortenAlright I read it. I agree with that loot/keys having issues. IN GENERAL. But his solutions are garbage. Key farming is fine as is. but there should be a way to get 1 key for "free" perk week per character. That way it's like nightfall ish. If you got a key everytime you completed a higher difficulty the loot problem would be even worse and people would power through PoE stuff faster then they already are. In short one key per week if you want any more chances at that chest loot go farm for it. Loot wise I half agree. even though he forgot to mention that you can get the normal PoE weapons in 32 and up. not just queen weapons. The smaller chests can give materials i'm pretty sure. and you already can get engrams just for completing. He completely missed the fact that you can get rewards just for beating the activity. For instance i've gotten legendary engrams and even one exotic just from opening the small chest to get the completion awards. Loot wise they should make it so other legendary gear besides queens can show in the chest. exotic drop rate shouldn't change. I've played around 25 PoE runs and have netted 4 exotics alone. The drop rate for the elemental primaries in 35 should get a higher drop rate though. the elder cipher should be able to be got on 32 and up. but the higher the difficulty the better chance the bounty will drop. and the skolas rewards (ship, shader, emblem, class item) should drop on completion each week per character. It shouldn't be left up to chance in the chest. IMO the skolas fight needs a small re work. Limiting add spawn to health percentages from sklolas aka 75% 50% etc. instead of swarming the field.

They should have added this at the end to make it clear. For those players that left and came back. If they leave again they most likely arent coming back. Something about being fooled once.... you know the rest.

8 AntwortenThe gear you get from the big chest Is extra loot. It shouldn't be easy to obtain

Just read through the article. I have to say I totally agree, the drops are terrible. I've been saving my last key, because of the terrible drop rate, for when I finally beat the level 35. I didn't realise that the drops for elemental primary weapons on Skolas were so poor as well. Doing the raids your almost guaranteed one on Crota and Atheon. Etheric light also has a poor drop rate, or it has for me anyways.
