"Personally, I'm not willing to make time in my day to look for a group. That was a huge problem i had with Warcraft until they started letting you queue for a group. Forcing players to find their own group is ridiculous considering that matchmaking is already in place, and its an issue that has been outdated ever since halo 2's matchmaking changed the way we play multiplayer.
Here's why it matters to me.
- I don't have a huge pool of friends playing destiny all day.
- I cant be bothered to spend time online, lining up a time to play with strangers who i don't want on my friends list in the first place.
- I want to buy the DLC. The DLC looks great, seem like cool content. But given that i cant easily get a group for raid, or nightfall, or trials of osirus, or prison of elders.. it feels like there's nothing for me in the DLC, because all of its content requires me to find my own group. So i haven't purchased it. Give me matchmaking and ill throw my money at you.
- When i sit down at my console, i want to be able to turn it on and jump into a game, i don't want to have to painstakingly schedule a time to play, and be forced to find some teenager willing to Let Me play with his clan.. my question is.. is that too much to ask? Its a game, don't make a job out of it.
Right now, all i play is crucible; not just because its some of the most entertaining multiplayer I've experience since (Bungie's) Halo, but because matchmaking allows me to do it on my own time. Right now, Iron Banner seems to be the only matchmaking option that can reward high-end loot, and its great, but incredibly infrequent, so my point remains.
Regardless, great game as always Bungie, i just think this would make it better."
