Well, you don't actually have to have TDB DLC to upgrade current exotics.
What makes you think you'll need it to upgrade these weapons and armor?

I'm referring to all the VOG and CE raid weapons that will be able to be upgraded to 365. These weapons are already in the game. And many people already have them. You are basically just paying to be able to use them again
-
Ya, again, how is that different than upgrading your exotics from 300 to 331 the last time around? And people rejoiced being able to continue to use their exotics.
-
But what's the point in upgrading weapons you grind for when all they do is nerf them.
-
Hmm, I didn't start playing destiny until after that. I just feel like one of the main features of HoW is going to be upgrading your current weapons. Something that I don't feel you should have to pay for. Are you saying people who don't buy HoW can still upgrade their weapons? That would be cool but in all honesty why would you want to keep playing with upgraded weapons but with no new content to use them on
-
I'm not every person, so I can't speak for them. All I can tell you is that people who DIDN'T pay for the new DLC, still had access to upgrade their weapons. And paying to upgrade your weapons seems to be your major complaint here. So with the precedent already set from the last DLC, I ask, why do you think people will have to buy the DLC to gain access to this feature, when they didn't have to the first time? (Also, the Weekly and NF should jump level, just like they did last time, which would make more sense for people to upgrade their weapons, especially from vanilla)
-
Fair enough. If the NFs increase in level that would be a reason to want to upgrade your weapons. I personally will either buy HoW or not play destiny at all (waiting for reviews before making a decision) I just don't want to play the same old content with upgraded versions of my same guns. Im also not trying to speak for everyone. This is just my opinion.

Oh obviously. And seeing as you didn't go through the upgrade last time, it's understandable. Quite a few people have not. But from my experience last time, it wasn't the fact that people could upgrade old weapons that pissed them off. That part of it was great (and still is, especially for the chance at different stat rolls on armor). It's HOW you had to upgrade that made a lot of people very upset.

That was when exotic progress was conpletly wiped wasnt it?

It's not, he has a point
