Christians struggle because their outdated beliefs are being picked apart by science and fact.

Fact? There is no proof that God doesn't exist, and there is no proof that he does as well. Everything came from something. Did a superior being create those somethings? Maybe, maybe not. Did an even far superior being create that superior being? Maybe, Maybe not. It's all just one giant question. One that may never be answered. What people choose to believe in or not is their choice.

Honestly if there was some all powerful being who has the potential to create matter and the universe you don't think that he isn't capable of creating some pocket dimension or something to live in? I see why you can say that "science" disproves God, but in reality there is a multitude of probabilities that (though they seem unlikely to us) may make it possible to have some form of "higher power/god/etc" Anyways I am not arguing whether there is a god or not. I am arguing the fact that you can't truly "prove" that there isn't one.

And while we can't definitively say it doesn't exist (because we can't test it) we CAN say that the odds are so astronomically small that we can live our lives on the assumption that a higher being does not exist. And we should- until evidence proves otherwise.
-
Other way around science proves them and does nothing but disproves its own assumption
-
Lol great b8 I r8 :)
-
If science proves Christianity and disproves itself then by that logic it disproves Christianity.
-
Heh no because god is not created he is always there he will always be there and if you don't believe me watch this. Gods not dead
-
Quick! Name one scientific explanation that has been proven wrong and replaced with a religious one.
-
Big bang theory for example hawking says the universe was always meant to create itself in a quote he used which contradicted itself. The flash. Then there was light as stated in the bible. And there was earth and animals and they were good.

Now you think you've found flaws in the argument of a man with a 200+ IQ? Lord, my sides. Did you even attend college?
-
And no I'm in high school so I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you and goodbye.
-
You have an IQ less than my dog
-
I always thought I had a well-above average IQ and thought that was reflected in who I am and what I've achieved, but I suppose now a child has said otherwise I'll have to rethink my life. Or not. I've actually read the Bible for starters, from beginning to end. Have you?

Heh perfect IQ moron that's impossible

Bearbeitet von Britton: 4/10/2015 11:39:38 PMYou fail. You're just equating a persons quotes to your belief. Not having a scientific answer, doesn't constitute a supernatural one.

Also Darwin he thought lightning hitting pond water brought the first cells and later discovered that cells don't evolve in this way because the shape originally given is how it will mostly stay in its existance. This is fact
-
Bearbeitet von Britton: 4/10/2015 11:50:13 PMEvolution doesn't cover the origin of life. And Darwin isnt the end all be all of science. Its fine if he was wrong about things, the theory of evolution is supported far beyond what he initially proposed, and has also changed with new information. Origin of life is abiogenesis, a separate field from evolution. That field is making progress though too.
-
Heh making progress to a dead end you have lost your argument
-
lol damn dude just stop typing, you really have no desire to learn anything so why bother?

“What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.” Ah, the power of the Internet. It allows me to insult your intelligence without taking the time to express it in my own words. Another great invention created through science, not blind faith in an imaginary God.
-
You are just immature and I'm done arguing

Thank you.
