Now i am not some bum who came into Bungie.net to make people unhappy. In fact i was like many of you. Yet those who came before me grumbled a bit about Bungie switching over but it was going to benefit all. They were making a switch from PC to Xbox and we gladly followed. Halo at the time was in Development. After that One Million disk mistake Bungie had a happy coincidence ? All in the Halo 2 Extra disk. I been into halo since CE and Halo 2. Halo 3 i came to B.net to just check stats then i got into the forums. Much more complicated than now. I spent two days trying to learn where i needed to post with out posting.. Fast forward to now. I sat in the Darkness twice. Halo:Reach was very fun. Now looking back waiting for Destiny was a mistake. Why you ask ? Look at this very website. Bungie.next came, then it took months for them to fix it. Sound familiar ? Deej promised bells a whistles ? Not really many bells or whistles. Plus it took well over a year. While i am an understanding person it was foolish to make promises that were never going to be kept. Joesph Staten Writer and Lead On Destiny Leaves Bungie. Then Marty Gets fired before the Beta. Board of Directors made that call. He was the Head of the Music and Created much of the music with Mike in Destiny. Not leaving out Paul. So for a year we got glimpses of the game. Many comments were made. While i do admire for a time Deej's job to keep our interest the issues of What Console got what and what defines Dlc. Activision with the agreement on DLC between Sony Entertainment and Microsoft. Divided the DLC between what game franchises would get DLC. Then Bungie through Activision for money is now being sponsored by Sony. Thus advertising PS4. While this was a good move for cash for Destiny. It left many who had X-boxes wondering. You see i figured out Deej had been telling lies. Reading through some of what he had been saying and all too happy with how PS4 landed Bungie a stellar deal. Many of his comments were to deflect redirect in the Weekly update and before that his Monthly Mail Sack. I used some brain power and combed through his posts to find some of what was said was not true based on what facts that at the time i had. With Joe and Marty gone i knew the game was afoot. I was expecting to get a ban and i did. I never played the beta nor went down to pick up Destiny as the facts were plain. Sony/Activision were going to do what they wanted and Bungie was in the for the ride. Before that i was looking forward to the game. As far as the game goes its the Crap Pile i expected it to be. Nothing Unique that was promised. How do i know that ? Deej and Bungie kept saying such. Yet after the Halo fever left my trust waned every time they talked about money or Activision. What people were saying was not the same. Now people might not know it was suppose to release in December. Looking back i think we should have forced more time. Other factors against Destiny is its made for 7 year olds and Bungie wanted a teen rating. Probably a legal dispute or some such is preventing Bungie and Activision from using the former current story. Thus they had to splice it up. If you look at what was promised at E-3 such as gambling. Such as Making Unique people. Such as Unique gear and to spawn where you wanted as that was implied when you see a ship drop off a Guardian. All these things were a Careful Deception. The game we were told existed they said they made and the game that exists now is two different things. People were expecting a halo like experience. Instead we get a lame duck FPS that tries to be Rpg. Instead Bungie has shown a dark side. It cares only for money. It cares about what it wants and not the Consumer. They refuse to make real fixes in the game but nerf things or keep people from cheating. Well if you had robust content that was not the same crap each time they might not do that so much. Then we come to the sell a DLC part of the why Destiny will fail. Selling Content as DLC to unsuspecting people is greedy as hell. Yet you did it with Activisions help. It seems you are stalling for time. So you can make more content that people played 100 times or the fact you are in a legal battle ? I cannot prove the last two but those are my opinions. Cherry on top of Destiny is it is not your world to explore or have fun in. Its Bungies way and they give not two shits until the check clears and the money is in Bungies Coffers. When bungie makes positive changes as to fixing there game full of bugs or other issues mentioned by players then i can see some light over the Horizon. I am so glad i went with World of Warcrafts Warlords of Draeneor. Too many people defend the Scam saying it is fun. I am sure if you played it hours on end it would get boring. This is coming from a guy who played Every Bungie made Halo. -Peace Out. PS.: If you look back in the Mail Sack you can see Deej Talk about Bungie testing. Having people come off the street or come in to try it out. I am unsure if people played the game as they have it a Retail or was it different ? Yet the impression left by Deej is that the game that is now is not the game that was suppose to come out Or that it was Chopped up By Activsion yet he had to cover for people. In any case people should never make promises they cannot keep. Destiny is the game that broke dreams and promises.-Cobra Commander.
