I am playing with the idea of writing a book based on Destiny. Of course it would be a storyline that I come up with. If you doubt that I am worthy of writing such a thing you can feel free to check out some of my works on Wattpad.com, my username is dakodabigelow. I write Science Fiction and Fantasy mostly. This book would be free to read as well on Wattpad.com.
Edit 1: Thanks for all the feedback! It seems that most of you like the idea. I really appreciate it.

Bump again.

4 AntwortenI would, but not yours. I hate fan fiction.
-
One page long I could handle that
-
If it has a better storyline then yea for sure
-
1 AntwortenAbsolutely. I've already put in so much time into this game, why not read a book about it as well.
-
5 AntwortenDepends on the storyline
-
Yeah, I'd read a Destiny book. Just as long as the story is actually in the book, and not located in the Grimoire.
-
That would be short lived "I don't have time why I don't have time to explain"
-
2 AntwortenThe grimour, etc give hints at a range of potential stories that are never developed or explained in the game. If I were Bungie, I would have already explored trying to get writers in for a series of books. I would read them. I am not sure whether an individual would get anywhere without material and permission from Bungie

If you do write a fan fic book. Make it about how a hunter and warlock wore friends but later on became arch rivals. Make the hunter go bat shit crazy too.
the fox and the hound basically
-
1 AntwortenDestiny has all the groundwork laid down for some great stories, it's just a shame they chose not to tell a single one.
“So, where are you taking us?” “Away.” “Yes, I can see that, but where?” “Somewhere else.” “I could stop you.” “You won’t.” “No, I don’t suppose that I will” The engines of a jumpship roared, and the craft pulled away from the surface. Up, ripping through the dense clouds until all that could be seen were stars. A blue dot expanded ahead of the craft and engulfed it completely as it tore in to it. There was nothing to go back to, not anymore. Maybe their bodies would be found by new ghosts, made new again, but they would be gone. A Guardian is an embodiment of its ghost, for the Guardian never existed, not truly, until its ghost claimed it. When a Ghost is lost, it’s Guardian is not far behind. Guardians die, and they are brought back. Again and again, they are brought back to die again. After so many deaths there is no fear, how could you fear all that you have ever known? When a Ghost dies, and they are not brought back, what does a Guardian feel? The shimmering neon blue surrounding the ship gave way to black, dotted with the stars of far off solar systems neither Guardian nor Ghost had ever visited. Had they been visited in the Golden Age? The question used to be asked with a hope that they would discover what new adventures awaited them in the far off stars, but this time the question was filled with dread. A finality that was not expected, but was laced with a determined focus, a focus on the patch of space without stars ahead of the craft. “We’ve arrived” “What are we planning, exactly?” “You know the answer” “We could return to the tower.” “No.” “No?” “I’m tired. I’ve done this too many times, I need to rest, like you.” The jumpship rocketed forward as warnings flared throughout the cockpit. Warnings of overheating, warnings of imminent collision, and warnings of an armed warhead aboard. The Fallen Ketch fired at the jumpship, but it was simply moving too fast. “Goodbye, my friend” The Ghost whispered to itself, and looked down upon the corpse of his Guardian. “Goodbye.”
Please write a story, I'm dying for more.

1 AntwortenDepends. Will we have to go to bungie.net for most of the story?

I think you should write your book based on Bungies content in game. Of course it's more like a poem and would really only have a front and back cover with a great prologue a few illustration some random unconnected paragraphs separated by hundred empty pages.

1 Antwortenkeep us posted plz
-
It would only be 2 pages long
-
Depends on the writer
Nathan Fillion would have to read the audio book though
-
I read all the halo books so it matters if it explains wht happened and where everything came from than yes
-
Would listen to audio version by Samuel jackson

1 Antworteni don't go obscure with my reading. i need a pro storyteller and a story that took years to formulate to keep me proficiently entertained. i stay mainstream. would not read a destiny book, would watch the shit outta a movie or TV show though.
-
1 AntwortenDepends if it is anything like this "story"
-
1 AntwortenHell yeah. Although I wish you would do it based on the actual lore instead of making your own storyline :(
-
2 AntwortenI'd read an official book. Not an extended fan fic that you seem to be suggesting. No offense
-
Much like the game there would be no story so no.
