They need to NERF Ghorn or buff the other launchers
I'm usually the last to call for nerfs but I'll make an exception in this case. And It's not the gun's fault, it's the player base's.
People are losing their shit over a stupid rocket launcher. Little impatient children in the game are making it hard for some to run the raid because they value stats over whether someone can actually play the game.
I don't have Ghorn and don't particularly want it but now I feel like I need to have it for the sake of other people. Isn't this game homogenised and generic enough without everyone having to have the same weapon?
Sometimes changes need to be made because of the truly awful element of this community and Bungie should start by reducing Ghorn to a shadow of what it is now.
Maybe then people will actually learn to get by without it. Seriously, if you are failing it's not because someone in the group has Truth or Dragon's Breath - I killed him using Hezen's Vengeance!

Edit: I am not personally struggling to find groups or being kicked. Although I should really find a good clan.

I myself have to agree because honestly when the tracker rounds are doing more damage than the rocket itself somthing is wrong. I don't care if they nerf it because it honestly NEEDS one. Yes I have gjallarhorn so I'm not some butthurt guy crying that doesn't have it.

2 RepliesFor Christ's sake, why can't we all just sing Kumbaya and hold hands while raining hell fire on Crota? He/she (whichever it is) is entitled to their opinion. I don't think it needs a nerf, and I can actually comment on this because I have one. That being said, I don't use it as much as I used to because I don't want to take away from actually playing the game and winning with teamwork, you know, that thing where everyone works in sync? Either way, enough with the moody horse shit.

Fastest/easiest team I've killed crota with had zero gallyhorns. Because everyone had skill and Didnt die. Gally means nothing when it's in the hands of a dead player who can't stay alive

Nerfed or not it would still be viable against Crota. The wolf pack rounds cause persistent damage right, effectively keeping his shields from regenerating.

1 ReplyI don't think this is an issue, but assuming it was a big enough deal it'd still be far and behind the other problems in this game Raid glitches with both vog and ce, heavy ammo bug, useless ascendant mats, useless commendations, etc. I think to many these detract from gameplay experience a lot more.

I have it, but in the raid I usually only use it on the gauntlet and death singer part...most people don't actually pay attention to who fired the rocket. As soon as I'm done with it, put on my icebreaker or some other exotic. Also if they ask, I tell them I have it, but have no ammo or ammo packs...then use the crota launcher. Ghorn is great, really great, but if a weapon makes or breaks a raid I say -blam!- that...I'll play the way I want.

5 RepliesThis is my opinion. You are entitled to have your own and I'll respect it even if I may not agree: If something is over powered in PvE, who cares? It makes things easier for everyone else in the group. It's not any more over powered in PvP since every other rocket launcher is a one hit kill. If anything needs treatment it's pulse rifles and high ROF auto rifles. They need a massive buff and have needed it since launch.

Dude, I have Ghorn. I am not particularly special because I have Ghorn. But I refuse to join a group of people if I see Ghorn/gjallarhorn or something similar in the invite. People need to realise that Ghorn makes a task easier, but isnt the be all and end all. It is just a launcher, albeit a very good one. in the clan I am with a couple of us have it. We use it in raids etc because it makes it easier for the team to achieve, not for any other reason. And the only time I use it outside of raid is when we have a solar burn on nightfall. Other than that it sits in the vault and doesn't get touched
