They need to NERF Ghorn or buff the other launchers
I'm usually the last to call for nerfs but I'll make an exception in this case. And It's not the gun's fault, it's the player base's.
People are losing their shit over a stupid rocket launcher. Little impatient children in the game are making it hard for some to run the raid because they value stats over whether someone can actually play the game.
I don't have Ghorn and don't particularly want it but now I feel like I need to have it for the sake of other people. Isn't this game homogenised and generic enough without everyone having to have the same weapon?
Sometimes changes need to be made because of the truly awful element of this community and Bungie should start by reducing Ghorn to a shadow of what it is now.
Maybe then people will actually learn to get by without it. Seriously, if you are failing it's not because someone in the group has Truth or Dragon's Breath - I killed him using Hezen's Vengeance!

Edit: I am not personally struggling to find groups or being kicked. Although I should really find a good clan.

2 RepliesDon't fret. If Xur sells it, it will be nerfed. Small joke lol. However, if Bungie nerfs Gjallarhorn, which gun is next? Ice Breaker. Then what? Thorn. Use your heads, people. If Bungie nerfs the best gun in the game, a new best gun will rise and you will ask for that to be nerfed. Every MMO, no, every game (with weapons) has a best weapon. Something people should strive for and feel amazing when it drops. It doesn't break the game. It's an EXOTIC ROCKET LAUNCHER. Bungie just -blam!-ed up the other ones so it seems OP. To level the playing field they should buff Truth and DB. Truth: it's perk should be: agressively seek targets and upon detonation releases aggresive Clusterbombs DB's perk should be: tracking and upon detonation solar flare ensnares targets. Meaning, missles track (which is a must with the stupidly low velocity) and a solar flare that lasts as long as solar grenades would be left. BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THE SOLAR FLARE LEFT WOULD NOT ALLOW ENEMIES TO ESCAPE FORCING THEM TO TAKE THE DAMAGE. Of course, higher Agility enemies/bosses could eventually escape. And boom, the 3 Exotic Launchers are balanced.

Don't have a ghallarhorn? Fine get a maxed hunger of crota and join. Does the job for crota. Quit whining you don't have a specific gun.

I have ghorn and i havnt leveled it up yet, i just been sticking with hunger of crota it gets the job done.

Edited by A Je5ter: 1/28/2015 7:09:21 PMI have a gjallahorn. My first exotic, actually. But my Thunderlord gets more use. Ghorn is primarily used for bullet sponge bosses. Personally, I don't see a problem with it. Mostly because I only paid for my game. Not anyone else's. If I had I suppose I'd have grounds to complain about the way they play. I wouldn't. Because I don't care how anyone else plays as long as they hold their own. And if having the best rocket launcher in the game assists them in that, then I'm fine with it.

I do t think it should be nerfed, but I don't think it should required either. I did just fine in the raid with a Hezen Vengence. It is a weapon that just simply makes it easier, and in a game where you do the same difficult thing over and over again that is something people want.

2 RepliesI partially agree with you but I don't think the gjallahorn should be nerfed but rather just keep it as a gun that can only be obtained by RNG because of how beastly it is. Seriously ppl worry about it way to much it should never be sold by xur and their is other rocket launchers that are great options, my fully maxed hunger of crota does lots of damage to any of the hive majors as long as you have the perk and it frees up a space in your exotics so you won't have to have a gjally equipped, personally when I run crota I didn't really use my gjally and I do just fine without it before I even got it and even after
