They need to NERF Ghorn or buff the other launchers
I'm usually the last to call for nerfs but I'll make an exception in this case. And It's not the gun's fault, it's the player base's.
People are losing their shit over a stupid rocket launcher. Little impatient children in the game are making it hard for some to run the raid because they value stats over whether someone can actually play the game.
I don't have Ghorn and don't particularly want it but now I feel like I need to have it for the sake of other people. Isn't this game homogenised and generic enough without everyone having to have the same weapon?
Sometimes changes need to be made because of the truly awful element of this community and Bungie should start by reducing Ghorn to a shadow of what it is now.
Maybe then people will actually learn to get by without it. Seriously, if you are failing it's not because someone in the group has Truth or Dragon's Breath - I killed him using Hezen's Vengeance!

Edit: I am not personally struggling to find groups or being kicked. Although I should really find a good clan.

1 ReplyI agree. But maybe instead of nerfing it. Maybe buff the others. Or atleast give the others a better perk. They're exotic for crying out load. Truth really isn't that good. Its perk i only see useful for pvp. And dragons breath probably the same. Pvp. Dragons breath should have a better perk like...making a bigger fireball thingy or whatever or setting the current area on fire so bosses can't just side step. Or maybe even making higher burn damage.

1 ReplyYou're calling for nerf of it because you don't have it. I didn't have mine for the longest time. I used Hezen, then truth, then hunger until the nightfall finally dropped it. I don't think it needs a nerf. Once you get it you will understand why. I just think people need to realize you can kill bosses and Crota without it. Is it easier? Sure. But other launchers will do the job. I hate seeing raid threads that says must have ice breaker or gjallarhorn maxed. I have both and those threads piss me off. If you want to raid give me a shout I don't care what you have as long as you contribute and are part of the fire team.

The ghorn is honestly overrated, i go into the crucible with all raid level weapons, (abyss defiant, sword breaker, and song of ir yut) and i do just fine, even beating out the people who use ghorn because up until they get the heavy ammo drop they can't do much. And even in strikes or raid? My hunger of crota is good enough to do everything it needs to. All about perspective on guns
