For electrical minds: A 240 volt delta Hi leg motor must have the hi leg connected to the right terminal, or it won't work. You can reverse to other 2 phases to reverse rotation. Since no ground is connected to the armature, how does the motor know which is the hi leg. All phase to phase reads 240 volts, and with no ground present, how does it detect that one line reads 208 volts to ground? There are engineers who can't get this..
