Well on bungies page i saw they needed testers probably alpha testers. So i was wondering when they need them and most importantly what kind of people, are they judging by their skill level and their playstyles or what do they want.
Well anyways if you guys (or girls) want to be a alpha tester what are youre skill levels playstyles and gaming habits please tell us i bet the community and bungie would like to know.
(By the way bungie if you are running low on alpha testers: let me help you, help me , help the community. I am totaly willing and i bet other people are too.)

1 ReplyThey want variety. They already have a group dedicated to testing for glitches; User Research is meant to see people's reactions to their different ideas. When you work on something long enough you tend to develop tunnel vision, and you start to only see it from your perspective. They're looking for people that will give them responses that they might not have expected. To answer your question, they're looking for anyone. User Research is a bucket full of potential test targets, and they pick all kinds of people from that bucket. Even the guy that just wants a chance to play the game before it comes out could provide useful research data

11 RepliesRead the job description, qualifications and required/useful skills. Its really not about "I was a 50 in halo 3", more so, "I know how to communicate to programmers what the problems are that I find with the game. I can play the same thing over and over again in new ans different ways. I can fill out bug reports. I have basic programming knowledge. Its not a "im going to play this nearly finished project and have fun!"

1 ReplyThe User Research is more for Alpha testing... To be a beta tester, you just have to preorder.
