Bungie. We know your leaders promised Sony a lot. We know you’re going to do everything you can to prevent Marathon’s death, but come on.
DESTINY 2 is your bread and butter. Imagine how amazing this game could be if you had put all that money and time into D3.
I’m already back to playing it after a two month break even though there’s not much being added. The core gameplay is infinitely better than anything currently on the market.
I just wanna play this game and have a reason to keep coming back. Marathon’s in the tank within the next 2 months. I’m not overreacting either. Streamers are moving on and it’s not a casual game. Take almost everyone off of it and start cooking D3 or a massive, game changing update for D2.
Destiny is “dead” and yet Marathon only has 11,000 more right now. 18,000 to 7,000. That’s your current Steam player base, 25,000. Destiny 2 use to average peaks of 90-100,000.
Bite the bullet, stop working on Marathon, finish the updates you have planned, move EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING BACK TO YOUR BEST MONEY MAKER. D2. Then Marathon in maintenance, D2 gets massive update with everything back, portal gone, then start working on D3.

The fumble of the Destiny franchise will be studied for centuries. A franchise (money printer) that never reached its true potential

2 RepliesMonths later and still cannot make progress past Renagades mission 2 due to known bugs. Yeah fu*k Destiny and Bungie these days I have 1k plus hours played but will never give a penny to them again. I been damn patient about this

Look what they did to Khepris Horn BURN IT DOWN

2 RepliesSomebody will make D3, a multi studio collaboration
The core gameplay is infinitely better than anything currently on the market.
This, the movement and gunplay set Destiny apart from every other franchise in existence. They have persevered with virtually ZERO competition. Nothing can actually kill it but Bungie. As an Overwatch enthusiast, I persevered through Blizzard botching the game repeatedly. You know what finally set them apart? Marvel Rivals. They had legitimate competition hit the market and players evacuated the franchise for it. In response, Blizzard began adjusting the game in a more appropriate manner. And it's been doing really well since! That's what D2 needed about 3 years ago. Another franchise that drove competition.

1 ReplyDestiny is still a great game. If people wanted to play, they would. The core issue is that most of the content in Destiny 2 is repetitive and thus becomes boring quickly. The most repeatable content in the game is PVP, and that playerbase is still going strong. Destiny 2 is a great game. The issue is that the game's long term moneymaker (aka, pvp), has been underfunded and deprioritized the majority of D2.

Destiny needs to be put down at this point, keeping it on life support and hoping for things to suddenly turn around isn't helping anyone.

Did you not see "Do Not Resuscitate" was ticked on its chart?

No let it die. Despite my statements to the contrary, reading some positive things about rush down, so I though give it a try, why not. What could it hurt? Talked to old gall, got the next step, buy a card, then have to do a rush down. WOAH, hold your horses, you do not qualify to complete this quest! Why you ask? Bungo will not say why, just that you can't complete the quest. At their best in communicating what is required to participate. I just logged out, will not set foot in the game until GG is done. Bungie proving once again why the game is in the shape it is in. Total fail of an event when players cannot participate and they have zero clue why. I am done with their idea of what is a fun and entertaining puzzle. Let the whole thing burn to the ground. Maybe Sony will sell the IP to someone who actually cares.

My name's O'Hare, I'm one of you I live here in Thneedville, too The things you say just might be true It could be time to start anew And maybe change my point of view Nah! I say let it die Let it die, let it die Let it shrivel up and Come on, who's with me?

Taking away brightdust from the new event order was a line drawn for me. Bungie gives 0 F’s about this game anymore. If they have the capacity and interest to throttle bright dust gains and prevent any meaningful engagement with this game so that players spend more money in the silver store…
DESTINY 2 is your bread and butter.
If that is true, they must be starving at Bungie.
Marathon’s in the tank within the next 2 months. I’m not overreacting either. Streamers are moving on and it’s not a casual game.
Really? Guardian Games just launched, and former Destiny 2 streamers are playing... Marathon.
Destiny is “dead” ...
At least you got that right.
Bite the bullet, stop working on Marathon...
Bungie is owned by Sony now, they don't get to decide things like that.

Destiny isn't their bread and butter no more. The sooner you accept that the healthier you'll be

3 RepliesBungie definitely don't have the time to make a new game with how both marathon and destiny 2 are doing. Sony have closed studio's for less. Destiny 2 needs to bounce back and do very well for a future to be possible.
