Abilities in pvp need to be reduced

I hope that Bungo will reduce the amount of ability usage in pvp because the intensity of abilities(especially auto tracking abilities) makes me feel like im better off playing a FPS... oh wait

      Or just buff the stats of guns a lot to make them feel more useful, including exotics (especially ones with disproportionately low stats compared to their archetypes) because what would that break that can't be or isn't already being broken by like 12 other guns in each category? Worst case scenario, they realize they have too many stat monsters and easy to use weapons and nerf them all. I mean if we're sticking strictly to kinetic slot weapons, what would giving +5-15 more AA and +40 stability to a weapon like Ace break that isn't already being broken by Crimils Dagger, Corundum Hammer, Solemn Remembrance, Modified B7 Pistol and Rose? And come June we'll have the stat monsters/ killing machines Fatebringer and Eyasluna, maybe even Midnight Coup if they use it during Pantheon or reprise anything from those raids finally. If they update even more weapons than just raid and dungeons, then we might potentially even expect the Neomuna and the season of the witch hand cannon I can't remember the name of. For the sake of it though, let's exclude Midnight Coup. What is Ace currently bringing to the table that can't be matched or more reliably beaten by any of the nine I just named? All of which can get similar range, significantly more stability (which also affects flinch resistance), and with the exception of the B7 have up to 15 more AA at base? I'd gladly sacrifice the radar in ADS and the nigh-infinite Kill Clip that reduces my range and forces me to never swap for maximum effectiveness if that's the kind of buff I could expect. I'd say it's fair.

      • Did you try shooting them before they cast their abilities? If that doesn’t work I hear playing cod or battlefield works better.

          Your abilities don't work? Like others do? So, you're mad that people don't adapt to your own personal play style? On a game with VARIETY? DO TELL! A Hunter just clapped yer cheeks, didn't they 😂?

          • I ran a few games of hardware mix from outside of the portal over the weekend and they were so much more enjoyable, just gunplay and also no lag or stuttering. The enjoyment was ruined when a duo from a well known cheater clan (with a single letter name) showed up and somehow had grenades and heavy from the start and were literally trolling us by spamming the crouch button ... so I went back to good old crucible control for another dose of ability crutching and lag, my blood pressure went up again. 😁

            • NO! Abilities are being used more because there are new players trying to figure out how to survive,especially when top players or worse,top teams decide to drop in and crush their opponents because they most likely got their a55es handed to them in Trials. Weekends when Trials is out is definitely worse in Control. Nerfing abilities more will be a bad move for the game. The new players will either quit or camp and they're already doing too much of that in Control. Besides they've already nerfed abilities in Control. It's in modifiers. Shaxx training weights. Also isnt there a hardware category that removes or nerfs abilities already?

              • Why does Bungie keep sabotaging its own biggest strength? Destiny built its reputation on some of the best gunplay in gaming. Those that have defected say Marathon has that same fantastic feel — so why design the game in a way that makes guns feel weak? Instead of letting the shooting carry the experience, Bungie keeps pushing players toward ability spam and “space magic” to actually get things done. If your studio is famous for incredible gunplay, maybe stop designing systems that sideline it. No wonder there's hardly any players left.

                • It's Only hunters with smoke and invisible grenades and invisible abilities. This is the reason the ability spam is out of hand. Because the warlock and titan abilities have been nerfed a long time ago. So bungie please look at hunters please.

                      • It's true that there should be less ability spam. However I'd like to point out that Hunters have an obvious movement advantage in PvP. To counter this when you play as Titan or Warlock they need to be reminded that all their movement can't do squat against the extra damage provided from abilities.
