People concerned with the state of Destiny in its current format raise questions time and time again about such things as difficulty, PvP, lack of patrol areas, endless repetition of tasks, grinding for the same old weapons etc, etc. After the Crimbo break what do we get in response? Cakes?? Artwork??....

To be fair, when you’re hungover food is pretty attractive.

bro, i just glanced through it right now, ITS 90% BAKING, like literally it’s 15 cakes people made, a couple character designs, and known issues we were already complaining about. This might be the worst TWAB ever

It's as if.......... They are not listening.............. Padme's voice from Episode 3, "Your breaking my heart!" Darth Vader music "Gone to the Dark Side, Bungie has," Yoda voice........

The fact they even still call destiny an mmo makes me chuckle. We’ve been single player for nearly 2 bleeping years. All the clans have dissolved and their in game tools are shocking. I’m not even gonna rant. Don’t waste your time brother, just go play arc raiders. Another game that has a “collapse” and golden age and “exodus of mankind” sub plot going on. Even they have managed to grip me and I usually play mmo games. Bungie have long since gave up on destiny. The did that when they made the weak decision to delete half of a game they still call “ongoing ever evolving world” Aye right bungie, it’s a Fortnite launch menu and one raid a year you can grind out in a week thanks to the carebare loot approach.

People are on holidays over Christmas - not the best time to finalise future plans for the game. Hopefully we get some detail in the next few weeks.

To quote Hudson in Aliens .. "Game over man, game over." Stop wasting your time waiting for this game to improve. They aren't listening. A blind man in a snowstorm could see the Portaloo was a doomed concept. But they doubled down. There are three, just three Crucible activities now. And none of those are Clash. Gambit is gone. The so called content is just stuff we have played for years. Beyond Light was almost six years ago and we're still playing the Glassway and campaign missions as content. Devils Lair is from Destiny, over eleven years ago. And that's before we get to the pointless power grind, limited revives and power deltas and modifiers that make everything a chore for rewards we mostly just shard. I have a vault of stuff I don't care about. Marathon is doomed. And no one is buying the next overpriced expansion for this disaster because since Renegades launched the numbers have just gone down. Even over Christmas when people had time off. I'm excited for a possible Witcher 3 DLC this year that is going to bridge the story between 3 and 4. I am more excited for that possibility than anything this bunch could dream up. I don't care what Bungie does anymore. I don't care if the whole pronoun toting lot of them get fired. Not another penny from me.

the first twab of the year is not the place for the updates, you must be newto the game

Edited by Scourged One: 1/9/2026 4:55:04 PMGlad to see by the comments that it seems most people have figured it out, or accepted it! BungLe ain't listening. And the rare times they hear us, they don't care. As you yourself said, been a while of same old same old, huh? Hasn't changed. Isn't going to now. People forget, the Bungie who made Halo is LONG retired, fired, or grazing greener pastures. This company is BungLe. And they do just that. Have fun if you can, but don't get your hopes up.

Edited by Jet Set Willy: 1/9/2026 12:32:02 PMIf they didn’t have anything much to say before their Christmas break. Then they were never going to have anything much to say a couple of days after getting back to work following their Christmas break. This first TWID of 2026 was always going to be inconsequential fluff. Personally, I liked seeing the cakes/cookies people made as it was obvious nothing ‘serious’ would be getting said.
difficulty, PvP, lack of patrol areas, endless repetition of tasks, grinding for the same old weapons

Git gud.
Or whatever the defenders say. Those issues have been present for years, and when we get fun stuff to play and crafting to alleviate repetition the addicts hate it. They seem to have a masochistic view of video games where instead of games being fun and entertaining, they have to be punishing and tedious. Good luck guardian!

Gee golly I remember when yall cried over shaders…. Got exactly what you wanted. Word for word. Then cried it was to last and continued to complain more about bungie doesn’t listen.
-
Because the break ended on Monday the 6th and that was the day the Twid was prepared. But don't worry, you're not the only one here having trouble reading the calendar, Karen.
