AFK Farming still an issue.
Bungie this has been a thing since the season of the forge. and its still happening. 3 out of the last 4 nightfalls I've done have had some goober sitting in a corner just wanting to be afk carried until the final boss so they don't have to do anything. can you please for the love of god fix this? give us a vote kick system or something for general playlist activities with matchmaking or something. this is ridiculous. the fact that its still a thing and has been for literal years with nothing done to fix it shows a complete lack of care for the average players experience. not a fan of having to carry the slack of some lazy dude not wanting to put in the effort to actually climb in power. you guys nuked the thrallway for that exact reason. lack of player effort in farming catalysts. this is no different. please do something about this. its about time something was done.

I'd rather them do piss all than slow us down. And that's more adds for me for bounties. Better to leave the dead weight at the depot

If you see someone AFK report them as AFK and it will boot them and reload someone else into the activity.

Bungie creating ridiculous, boring, tedious, farming requirements is still a thing.

and about the afk guys, is easier to find 2 on lfg in the bungie app, trust me i dont usually like fireteams, i already complete all gms, dungeons etc, and you get better loot.

99% of the time I leave when that happens, let them sit there forever for nothing.

Not sure why you are doing nightfalls that have matchmaking. Just use the LFG and do grandmasters

They should just make it so they get absolutely nothing at the end, since they were afk or not really participating

I think there are lots of people who don't find it fun. I think generally it's a problem when a game designed to be fun, isn't and people would rather afk than play. Like clearly people want the reward more than the to do the activity. Which i think is a problem with destiny. I was so sick of running Phrophecy to get a single pulse with rampage as a perk i quit doing it after one i got one. I quit nighfalls after i get the gun i want because, my personal opinion is they aren't fun. On occasion i've had similar takes on raids. And as someone who was pvp focused i was only enduring nightfalls for a gun for pvp. It was not fun. So i get why people afk things even though it's a problem for others. Not saying it's not a problem and should be tolerated by bungie, but rather reflective of problem with unrewarding and/or unfun grindy activities. I tend to back out when i'm in a strike with an afk player.

5 RepliesVote to kick would be a terrible idea. People would just be a-holes and just vote to kick everyone all the time. I understand what you mean because i hate afk'ers too. But a vote to kick would not be a good idea.

1 ReplyReport for inactivity, that usually boots them out within a few minutes. They should be faced with a 30 minute block from playing anything, but single player play.

Giving people boot power would end up being worse with people being booted from game near the end just because they can. However the AFK issue is getting worse

It's how Bungie makes their 'challenges', Brightfall and the Crucible/Gambit challenges take the longest and its just FINISH a bunch of activities. There is no reason to even try. all you need to do is wait for the round/game/strike/match to end. Now if any one needs me I'll be in trails putting out 35% effort and finishing my shopping.
