Whisper of The Worm Shouldn't Have White Nail Nerfed
Title
Honestly, White Nail is what makes Whisper special. Pulling ammo from reserves turns white nail into lunafaction boots lite or rally barricade lite. This kills the weapon. Bungie, don't do this. Leave Whisper alone. It's not too late to stop the madness. Whisper already got nerfed to a point that it's downright difficult to use. Don't kill my gun.

5 RepliesThe best way to let Bungie know you don’t like their decision making abilities and disagree with the direction the game is heading, just stop playing the game entirely. Zero, nada, zilch, nothing, none, nope, never.... Put down the controller and don’t play for a week or two, or indefinitely! Just stop playing, the player base numbers will dwindle away and Bungie will realize what they are doing, maybe.... 🙄 Just don’t buy the next annual/season pass and stop playing the game immediately... #EndGameDestiny #EndGameBungie

Supposedly rumor is that it had to do with the new road. Whisper would have made it to easy but it’s like Bungie couldn’t make a new mechanic or something to counter it. Nope!! Just nerf it.

Didn't Bungie nerf Black Hammer and Back spindle for the same exact reason because of the mechanics in this game for certain bosses? 2 of the exact same weapons in 4 years that were really popular were nerfed and they didn't think when creating a 3rd BLack Hammer with the same perk wouldn't case a problem in D2? this is nothing personal but I call Bull.

Look at the bright side, at least lunafaction and rally barricade will actually help with reloads in case you miss the crit shot.

Funny thing is, with White Nail nerfed, it's literally just pre nerfed EP sniper, cause due to Luna boots or a rally barricade making the ammo Regen a non issue, all it has going for it is the unending Whispered Breathing.

3 Repliesthey wouldn't need to nerf it if they would just come up with other boss mechanics besides stun boss and dps a crit spot. this just shows that bungie do not have a clue how to mix up boss encounters and create different types of encounters that require different types of weapons. why not have a boss where a grenade launcher is best because you have to lob grenades into an opening for dps or something like that. so many other options other than nerfing, but that is what is easy for bungie.

4 RepliesWhat blows my mind is that they're literally repeating the same exact thing they did in D1. Blackhammer was a legendary sniper with potential infinite ammo. Then it was replaced with blackspindle that was an exotic, and would draw ammo from reserves. To be honest with you I was very surprised that whisper was given to us with potential infinite ammo again, should've really seen this coming.

4 RepliesAnyone who played D1 should have known this was coming. It broke ammo economy in D1 they knew it would do it again. So now it's time to actually come up with a strat instead of sit in the back of the map and shoot it for 5mins till it dies. I get the point of nerfing it but at the same time it didn't impact me any since I barely used it. To think this exact exotic perk came on a legendary special slot sniper gone are the days of the fabled Black Hammer... Come join the rest of us on the Darci and 1k train 🚝

24 RepliesWhy not? Give me one situation where you need infinite ammo. I can think of only 2 situations in the entire game where you need more than 18 shots, and 99.9999% of players aren't doing those.

1 ReplyI never understood nerfing PvE unless it's something that completely breaks the game. I also dont understand why there is so much attention to PvE weapons and armor when raid glitches are never fixed, matchmaking (all game aspects) continues to feed on moose nuts, and the NF is completely irrelevant unless you need powerful gear.

They new what they were doing when they put wotm in the game. The gun was meant to be the big dog in end game content. But apparently it's to good at doing exactly what it was supposed to do. Doesn't really make sense. Why even put it in in the first place lol. Especially because they buffed it from what the black spindle was, and now it's back to exactly black spindle lol.

5 RepliesA better fix would have been to have 6 shots and after that as long as you land your crits, you should be able get your shots back. Risk=Reward. But that makes too much sense.

I mean, how hard is it to have a boss that doesn't have a crit spot in the raid? or have actual mechanics to provide a debuff to the boss for damage phases so we don't need crit spots? if there is no crit, then whisper cannot regen infinite ammo. I mean really, can this not be done? or are bungie that brain dead?

They’re lazy. I bet they never thought of rally barricade and rift with lunafaction boots which will make whisper shit compared to darci. They also gave it the exact same nerf in D1. What the hell are they smoking.

10 RepliesCase and point. You refuse to use anything else like lots of other people in the game. Why use darci when you can use whisper. A sniper in darci that actually got a buff before whisper got it's first nerf still wasn't a pick even though it does stupid amounts of boss damage. THATS THE POINT BUNGIE IS TRYING TO MAKE. YOU DONT WANT EVERYTHING TO CONSTANTLY GET STRONGER. THERE NEEDS TO BE A STRENGTH CAP
