Speaking with our time now appears to be our only option. Bungie keeps crushing the Dream instead of keeping it alive. If this is to change we need to speak with our time played. I like Gambit but gambit is not the type of mainstream content, or Black Armory for that matter which I spent money on the last couple years for multiple licenses. My expectations to this point have been WAY to high I guess? Please humor me but as an example, If the evolution of the original Mass Effect trilogy upon its conclusion (the milestone or bar it set....not ending) was like America going to the moon, then Bungie with Destiny had the potential to evolve similarly to leaving our solar system. Instead to this point, Bungie, ‘we’ (our characters) figuratively, have only rarely left Earths orbit but return shortly after again and again to just do it all repeatedly over again ‘IF’ each season, you pay for the privilege of accessing the latest seasonal drop. Bungie \ (Activision-Blizzard previously) when the rubber hits the road appears satisfied with circling the earth or sending out a probe or three into the blackness and not really even trying to go back to the moon much less make it past mars or the Kuiper belt or beyond to make Destiny the EPIC evolution we thought we would get over 10 years. Unfortunately, what we got mostly since Destiny now with D2 is a hodgepodge group of sequels well short of any evolution of one game world. Bungie now has my money since I bought into the annual pass early and really did not know what gambit was going to be before the purchases getting them when I did , so shame on me. My family, 3 of us who played on separate accounts close to everyday since D1 for years would ‘NEVER’ have asked for MoRe of the PVP \ PVE hybrid or more escalation protocol esc.... content like Forge \ Blindwell! Now Destiny has turned into a world of grind until you either wear your controller or console out or just turn it off out of frustration with horrible matchmaking, rng content drops, timed bounties and repetitive gated activities. With Activision gone Bungie now has the driver seat and ‘WAS’ probably limited previously by contract or content already somewhat in the pipeline so we are stuck with a season of no real depth once more today. Just remember ‘If’ you do feel that Bungie has not been listening the last couple years overall like I do ( how long ‘minimum’ these new seasons can be conceptualized, brought online and tested) then speak with your time now and don’t buy into ‘ANY’ future pre-release content until we see some changes that are what we have been asking to see for many years. What ‘WE’ have been asking for, for many years is, more story, more access to everything removed over most seasons or not made fully useable, relevant or compatible as Destiny has evolved and what ‘most on the forum repetitively have requested who aren’t internet streamers. We want new depth which has been mostly missing within D2 and for me, most of all....no more damn sequels having to re-earn content once more previously owned in the past seasons. Bungie make Destiny great. Give Destiny the Golden age, open world, all inclusive evolution and content imagined years ago when you pitched Destiny to us over 10 years.

In this latest TWAB in almost diplomatic speak .....we want infusion to be ‘impactful’ meaningful. Pretty sure that was a cut and paste from a past TWAB months ago where reading between the lines as the TWABs have been released, Bungie appears to be okay with the grind times as they are, if they weren’t we would not be where we are now. For me the changes made starting with the sequel train we got rather then an evolution within the game world, Destiny has become anything but meaningful and our gear has become anything but impactful. Having to start over not once but twice for the most part. The only impact that had four me especially the second time was a negative one. Over the last year I thought we might see some positives but as of now have made the game less ImPaCtFul and I find less and less in game worth whiled to do or has become way to expensive or unnecessarily gated or time consuming to obtain with the constantly moving targets. I will never have 20 or 30 hours a week to devote to Destiny. Really sad this last TWAB and IMO is one more in diplomatic speak, an F-U to the community which wants to love the game world created but with each step Bungie makes only making the impact far worse and not meaningful like the previous recipe of D1 or even early D2 even though Bungie thought with the release of D2 losing so much previous content was a positive.

I just stopped playing. The solution is pretty simple

Just use the easy Masterwork farm. I had 225 cores when this season started, now i'm pretty much max light with around 40 left. Once all characters hit 700, i will do a few farms and have hundreds in no time. :)

In this thread, Paul Tassi says he wants instant gratification because he can't manage his inventory correctly. Not trying to be rude, but as someone who works a full time job, pays bills, has relationship/friendships to maintain, has other hobbies, and still finds time to visit his parents, I don't understand the issue here. I am currently drowning in Enhancement Cores. Aside from my latest vacation, I play maybe 2 hours a day if I'm lucky. Outside of stacking Exotic effects on certain subclasses, there isn't really any building system in Destiny. If you can't grind powerful rewards to 680 and then infuse, then you're doing it wrong. Recommended light for current Tier 3 Reckoning is, what, 680? I'm practically ready to infuse my favorite gearset again like 3 weeks into JW. Surely you can go without looking "cool" for a couple weeks?

Everyone is focusing on the wrong issue. Every single MMO style game that exists has a similar must-grind-for type of currency. Every one. Enhancement cores are not an issue. The issue is HOW has Bungie tricked everyone into believing power level means anything for the most part

i'm gonna say this and im surprised im saying this because i never thought i would see the day. the division 2 launched and is actually good and it seems im not alone. it launched actually finished this time unlike all of these looter shooter games and its campaign despite objective flaws and i would say is no where near the quality of story games like god of war has, the campaign is the best campaign in the looter shooter genre. and i can not emphasize this enough.... IT LAUNCHED COMPLETE! its not a complete mess like the division 1 launch or BOTH destiny launches or the anthem launch. i would recommend for any person who likes strategy looter shooter games to check it out it's beautiful. like honestly it's so beautiful that i have finally in my lifetime seen a live service looter shooter launch that was not abysmally terrible. the only qualm i majorly have with its launch is that its exclusive to epic launcher on PC and the devs even had achievements ready to put on the steam because the devs had no idea the higher ups where going to go exclusive to epic on PC and assumed it was going to be on steam. like seriously it's messed up and i feel sorry for the devs. i recommend to check it out, and we finally have a good competitor to destiny forsaken.

The biggest problem I have with Destiny is that it is basically an RPG without any real quests. This is what Destiny quests are: - a cool looking cutscene - grind X - grind Y - grind Z - do a strike x on a harder mode - get reward If anyone here has ever played Fable: the lost chapters they would know how this could have been so much more. Sure, that game wasnt perfect, had its shortcomings, but oh man, the lore and missions were so good. The social hub is too small without any characters to interact with, rewarding stuff to do to pass the time or get quests from. There are only vendors who sell RNG based items. BORINGGG! Where is the vivity? Lifiness? I want to walk through the city and have people pay respect to me. We are basically Gods for the mortal men. If I have the rivensbane or dredgen title I want people to know and acknowledge that with tremble in their voices. I want to help a family to find their kidnapped Daughter, only to find out that the hive intend to corrupt her. I want real quests, stories and memories. Stuff that will linger for years. It doesnt really have to be dark all the time. Anyone who has played borderlands 2 remembered the face macshooty quest and it was awesome! Plz bring that kind of stuff.

It's just time for the Anthem treatment. I quit playing about a week ago. Maybe I'll go check out the Division 2, I hear they have their shit together.

This latest TWAB is just bursting the seams at how tone deaf Bungie is. Enhancement cores are a huge potential; master working weapons, armor, transmog, rerolls, the list goes on... And yet, we're using them to level up.. A rare material should not be used to do a common game mechanic. ..and this is just one issue.. Vendors are still completely useless, we haven't had any new gear for over six months, and the gunsmith is still a wasted vendor. Trials was not only removed, but is likely to not come back for a very long time, making pvpers lose all hope for an engaging comp. The comp playlist is yet another wasted potential. Strikes are still boring and pointless to grind. Literally nothing to chase unless you do night falls, and even then I don't feel rewarded enough to grind 30/40 night falls for 2 or 3 drops... THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO LOSE YOUR COMMUNITY BUNGIE Bioware has shown they listen to feedback, and prioritize the games core issues BEFORE content, making the game enjoyable and rewarding to play. Division 2 has shown they know how to release a proper sequel, not removing half the previous games improvements. Massive actually takes proper steps to improve the game and BUILD upon that. Bungie is kicking rocks around like they don't know there's a train coming. Destiny will never die, but it will always be a game with massive wasted potential, and a community that hates to love the game.

Enhancement cores are no big deal go play comp , you’ll forget all about them

There's always been complaints about infusion system all the way back, I think we wouldn't mind current one at all if the game was just more fun, imo the rewards haven't been worth the effort , the guns haven't been as fun, the swords should just be eliminated, and on and on and on

I’m not sure who they want playing their game anymore. In terms of playtime, I was about as hardcore as they come. The current system pushed me away and I haven’t even opened Drifter yet. That speaks volumes. If nothing else, just cut the number required in half. That would make the community HAPPY. What a concept. IT’S A GAME.
