Discussion On Savathun

Let's speculate on what Savathun's plan is. We know that The Dreaming City and Riven were a huge plan of hers, but she is the Hive patron of deception so there will be more. What do you think will be her next plot? Besides revealing that Levante or anyone else was her all along.

Riven was not part of her plan. Savathun wants into the Distributary. There are 2 powers that exist called the Sword & the Bomb. The Sword (dark) can cut fabric and reshape it, the Bomb (light) alters it's properties. (like turning paper into ash or vice versa) but then there is another, the Spear or the Needle which can pierce & pin then stitch the fabric back together. Both Light & Dark are needed to use the Needle. This is how the Awoken were born. They were reshaped, they had their properties altered and were stitched back together. Anyway, back to Savathun. She wants into the Distributary because well, immortality and a way she can stave of the demands of her worm. Now, Quria can simulate Darkness. We'll need Quria if we're going to use the Needle on Savathun. Either to trap her, or to stitch her back into Sathona. Ironically what Savathun wanted all along.

Well here’s the thing about Savuthun, we have to act incompetent. If we second guess every move we take and every potential motive she might have, then we are playing her game. And by act, I mean we need to make Savuthun think we’ve fallen for her trap.

  • So to put it simply, her ultimate goal is invading the Awoken realm where billions of years pass by relatively quickly compared to the outside universe. To enter this realm, the Distributary, she sent her daughter Dul Incaru to search for it's opening while "wishing" for the current time loop to take effect. With this time loop, she is insuring that Dul Incaru will have an infinite number of attempts to find the opening no matter how many times we kill her, while also bringing back anything killed to die again, feeding her in theory an endless tribute. Now here's the sheer genius of this all. First, thanks to this time loop, every Hive or Taken we kill will only be brought back, so Savathun is not losing ANY resources from this. These same forces also kill the same amount every time, feeding her a stable flow of tribute. This is the end result of her plan's failure. We prevent Dul Incaru from finding the Distributary, but Savathun still has a stable tribute flow. If Dul Incaru succeeds, she can increase this gain to absurd levels thanks to slaughtering the Awoken in their home realm. Billions of years of tribute (Keep in mind, the Hive are about 65 million years old) in mere YEARS at MOST. She would grow far stronger than Oryx was in a short amount of time. This is what will happen if we don't constantly kill Dul Incaru, forcing us to divert our attention continuously. Speaking of diverting, many have pointed out most of the forces we are fighting are Xivu Arath's. This is most likely also part of her plan, investing the minimal amount of her own forces as she can. There's a very good chance Xivu Arath doesn't know about the Distributary, and only knows about the time loop tribute. Savathun could have brokered a deal, saying together the two would receive endless tribute and grow in strength together. A cunning lie wrapped in truth. So Xivu Arath agrees, gives her sister some forces, and Savathun puts them to work, while giving her own forces the secret mission to invade Mara's throne world and plunder it's secrets. And finally, there is us. Truth to Power explores Savathun's "plan", constantly throwing curve balls as to who is speaking and who you can trust. Yes this is her plan, but is it REALLY her plan? Or is this all just a giant diversion from her REAL goal? If it is, we can't afford to leave it alone, which means we can't believe this isn't the real goal. And is she really trying to change her tribute from killing to people being confused about her plans? Or is that just another endless dead end for us to chase and ponder over? Either she confuses us and distracts us from the true goal, or she confuses us and her plan succeeds. In short, the game has only started and she already has checkmate and everything but our king. We can't afford to leave Dul Incaru alone else the Wizard succeeds. At present, the only way to break the curse I can personally think of is wishing for it to be broken. To bad this all started AFTER we killed the magic wish dragon salamander.

    • If some leaks are to be believed I think she's up to some mischief in the EDZ. I believe one of the leaks said a hive raid lair, coming with the Black Armoury DLC, was going to take place there. I could be wrong, but it's worth considering.

    • Not really. Riven and the Dreaming City weren’t part of her overarching plan. She simply discovered Riven and decided to mess around.

    • we may never know but my best guest, she's gonna kill the remaining Worm Gods, if she wants power the only good power boost out there are the Worm Gods and us, being honest it would be easier killing the Worm Gods instead.

      • We will see Xivu Arath before Savathun. Every boss in the Dreaming City has the title ...of Xivu Arath in it

        • Our confusion is powering Savathun . We can't decide whether Quria is on ourside or not. Are they? Do they have their own motives? Is this another one of Savathuns schemes? One of Savathuns plans is to get to the Awokens Pocket Dimension Home......where time moves so much faster. But is that her end game?.....or is that just another part to her grand plan?

        • I personally think we are going to use Quria to out trick her. She may be planning to blow the Dreadnaught or she may plan on unleashing a death battery. Either one is only speculation.
