Playing as a warlock for the first time and the jump is terrible comparing to titans and hunters. Which jump option is best to maximise speed?

2 RepliesGlide isn't really about speed, it about giving you airtime to rain gunfire and grenades down on your enemy. I go for stronger control.

I roll Stormcaller with burst. :/ Most of my play time is quickplay, blink was my favorite but I love the storms. Stormcaller needs a blink. All there is to it.

The best jump is blink for a warlock

Remember to quickly double tap the jump button, and holding down the button on your second tap to get as much out of your jump as possible. You're welcome. Edit: You can also cancel your glide by pushing the jump button again.

Edited by Aspect: 6/13/2018 1:36:42 PMwarlock easily have the best jump. There are so many things you can do with it. Yeah, titans and hunters have better base jumps, but the warlock jump allows combos. You can sword glide, you can worldline zero glide (look it up on Youtube, guy called Ehroar made a video on it) and you can even use relics like the crota sword to get incredible momentum. And the glide in incredibly fast when dawnblade is active. Warlocks win. Btw use burst glide, to be able to warlock glide, sword glide, and worldline zero glide

Edited by Midnight: 6/13/2018 8:00:02 AMDawnblademain here. Dash is where it's at for Void, Arc and Solar for most of PVE. Blink is ok for void but you lose radar along with the rest of your HUD for a bit after blinking. The strong directional control option is good for climbing and jump type puzzles. Just think spaceman jumps, long arcing type jumps and you'll easily get used to it. Double press the jump quickly for best use. I read somewhere that you need transverse steps but with dash it definitely not needed. Small low jump bursts. Jump>quickly land>jump Eye of Another World and Winter's Guile is good to pair with bottom tree Void. Sunbracers and Karnstein Armlets are great paired with Solar. I never use Arc so I can't really give much advice. If you end up using solar, your bottom tree super extends with kills. Multi kills make it last for a good while. You can heal while in super (or not as well) with Phoenix Dive. If you end up using void, bottom tree super melts bosses and make sure you really pay attention to devour and definitely make use of grenades and melee. If you're doing it right, you'll see why.

burst glide with traversive steps unless your using voidwalker then use blink, a bit harder to manage at first but once mastered it is by far the best jump for voidwalker especially with the formentioned steps why steps ? it increases movement speed and that gives you more momentum with burst glide and blink, and blink is momentum based im pretty sure.
