Video game consoles don't count. Here's mine:
Toy: Woody from Toy Story
Age when I got it: too young for me to remember, likely 2 or younger
Story: I grew up watching Toy Story, it came out a couple years before I was born but I still loved the movie, it's still one of my favorites. Bit I had a doll/action figure of Woody and I took it with me everywhere I went. Eventually I lost his hat and jacket but I didn't even care. He was the closest thing I ever had to an attachment with an inanimate object.
Fate: not sure what happened to him. I have a really good memory but I remember just not having him at some point. Even as a young man I collect action figures and toys and there are many other toys that I have owned that could have made this spot but Woody was the first, and I'll never forget having it.

2 RepliesI was really in to Thomas the Train (demon) Engine toys. I built huge tracks and even incorporated building blocks, legos, and little army guys into it. I miss the simplicity of life.

3 RepliesCan't pick favorites but one I really liked was this optimus prime toy I got from my aunt and uncle, years before they split up. It was optimus prime from the 1986 movie too, so you know it was cool. It was the 20th anniversary version. (If you can't do math like me, that means it came out in 2006) Came with optimus, his gun, megatron*, his axe, a stand, and the matrix of leadership. The matrix of leadership also fit inside his chest. *for those who don't know, megatron used to transform into a gun. It was basically a pistol with a big stock and a sniper scope. It was weird. Sells for about $200 on amazon

4 RepliesEdited by Chicken in Rice: 8/15/2017 5:01:45 AMLegos for sure. As a young one they made you feel like a master architect without having to actually be a master architect. I also used to have a stuffed animal turtle who's name was Shelly. Shelly was awesome, then our dog at the time attacked it, ripped it's two nose strings off, (black strings that made up the shape of a nose) really scratched up one of the eyes and generally just teared it up while still being in one piece. But he survived it, and honestly he felt like a war veteran or something after that lol.

Mostly, I made cosplay for costume parties I was invited to but weren't allowed into with kids toys in my teenage years. I got invited just to be uninvited at the last minute a lot back then.
